NXT Tops AEW In Ratings, Loses 18-49 Demo

For the first time since Dynamite’s debut, NXT beat AEW in the ratings. Both shows were strong, with NXT at 916,000 and Dynamite at 893,000 (h/t CagesideSeats). The win for NXT does come with an odd caveat: they managed to lose the 18-49 year old demographic. AEW scored a 0.39 in that demo, while NXT hit a 0.30 in the same demo. NXT won by dominating the over-50 demographic, 0.50 to 0.29.

ACH No Longer With WWE

The saga of ACH (f.k.a. Jordan Myles in NXT) has its latest development. According to Sean Ross of Fightful, ACH is no longer with NXT.

ACH, real name Albert Hardie Jr, announced on November 13th that he was quitting WWE in a live video on Twitter. He has since posted tweets about independent dates, including some this weekend. ACH has quickly adjusted to life on the independent scene.

Kelly Klein Fired From ROH

Ring of Honor terminated their contract with Women of Honor Champion Kelly Klein on Tuesday in a way that is not going over well with fans. According to Klein’s husband BJ Whitmer, Klein was fired via email while out with a concussion.

Ring of Honor issued a statement to PWInsider about the situation. The statement was promptly torn apart by Joey Mercury, who has been critical of ROH since being fired earlier this month.

NXT UK Results:

When they aren’t busy invading Raw or SmackDown, NXT UK continues to be an enjoyable hour of wrestling every Thursday. It included a debut from Ridge Holland that impressed many. Full results from Thursday are here:

  • Trent Seven def. Kona Reeves
  • A-Kid def. Jack Starz
  • Ridge Holland def. Oliver Carter
  • Alexander Wolfe def. Ilja Dragunov

Grizzled Young Veterans also cut a solid promo on the show demanding a NXT UK Tag Title shot at TakeOver: Blackpool II. No word yet on if they’ll get it or not, but they sure would have a heck of a match with Gallus.
