Survivor Series weekend is here, and with it comes NXT’s tradition: WarGames. The third edition of WarGames will feature two WarGames matches, one women’s match and one men’s one. The two-ring spectacular will take up a majority of the match card. There are four matches on the main card and one on the pre-show, and Kaden, Javier & Evan are here to predict all of the matches for NXT TakeOver: WarGames

Isaiah “Swerve” Scott vs Angel Garza

Kaden: Although both need wins, Scott needs it a bit more than Garza. It seems as if Scott will be the person to take the title off of Rush and then set up for Garza to take it off of him a bit later. For now, Swerve needs the win and will get it at Wargames.

Pick – Isaiah “Swerve” Scott

Javier: Pants boy disrespected Lio Rush’s wife and Swerve must pay for those transgressions

Pick – Angel Garza

Evan: It’s a tough call, but I’m going with Garza here. WWE seems to love giving the win to heels in toss-up situations. I’m most excited to see what strange pants spot Garza will have in the match.

Pick – Angel Garza

Pete Dunne vs Damien Priest vs Killian Dain – winner gets an NXT Championship match at Survivor Series on Sunday

Kaden: Dunne takes the win here. This is one of the easier ones for me. Priest is still relatively new to NXT. Dain just isn’t there yet for me. Dunne is the only person I can see to have a match with Adam Cole. He’s already over huge with the fans and will put on a show stealer on Sunday at Survivor Series with Adam Cole Baybay.

Pick – Pete Dunne

Javier: This is the match I’m looking forward to most this weekend. Dunne is a technical genius who can brawl with the best of them, Dain is a beast who has a motor that doesn’t stop and Priest is a skilled big man. The winner faces Adam Cole for the NXT Championship and while I hate that the winner will inevitably lose to Cole because Ciampa is waiting, Dunne wins because he can lose and set up his match against Roderick Strong.

Pick – Pete Dunne

Evan: I’m predicting the first swerve of the night (second if you count Scott). Dunne is more of a main event player than the other two, but his next feud seems to be Damien Priest. Killian Dain is an absolute beast and can do so much in the ring. Remember him in the first NXT WarGames match? He’s going to have another great performance and will battle Adam Cole on Sunday.

Pick – Killian Dain

Finn Balor vs Matt Riddle

Kaden: Balors has to win this match. He just came back to NXT and it’s his first match since losing to the Fiend. Balor needs it more than Riddle.

Pick – Finn Balor

Latest From FPC on SportsCastr

Javier: Matt Riddle is going to be a mega star someday. Unfortunately, he’s Finn Balor’s first Takeover opponent. I have no idea what Balor is doing or where his character is going and I am very interested by that. That said, Riddle is eating the loss here and hopefully it doesn’t hurt him too much when he destroys Brock Lesnar in a few years.

Pick – Finn Balor

Evan: Sorry, Bro. Balor is the fresh return to NXT and he will be in the NXT Championship picture by the Royal Rumble. His journey there starts with a win over Riddle.

Pick – Finn Balor

WarGames Match: Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Bobby Fish, & Kyle O’Reilly) versus Tomasso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic & a mystery partner

Kaden: Now this one is hard to call. My gut is telling me Undisputed Era. They’ve been on an absolute tear recently and it just makes sense for them to get the dub here. Just want to throw out there that I believe this show may have multiple 5 star matches from Meltzer.

Pick – Undisputed Era

Javier: The mystery member is Velveteen Dream. Boom. Anyways, despite a team stacked with big guys and talent, the babyfaces will lose because Adam Cole always has a trick up his sleeve. Who do I think that is? I really want to say Kevin Owens but it’s probably going to be Balor or something. Either way, Cole slips a pin on Ciampa and we’re on to Survivor Series. An alternate ending is Ciampa pinning Cole but we don’t live in that reality.

Pick – Undisputed Era

Evan: The fourth man in this match will be the deciding factor. I think if it is a big return, then Team Ciampa will be victorious. If it is just another babyface, Undisputed Era will win. Based on my hope for a big return (Velveteen Dream?), I’m picking team Ciampa.

Pick – Team Ciampa

WarGames Match: Team Baszler (Shayna Baszler, Io Shirai, Bianca Belair, & Kay Lee Ray) vs Team Ripley (Rhea Ripley, Mia Yim, Tegan Nox, & Candice LeRae)

Kaden: I love team Rhipley and I hope they win. However, Shayna cannot lose. It’s the same reason I have her winning at Survivor Series. It makes her more legit if she just doesn’t lose. Simple.

Pick – Team Baszler

Javier: Rhea, ya done goofed. The babyface team is on the brink of winning and then Dakota Kai comes and screws them. Should’ve let Kai on your team. She lost against Baszler, didn’t help Mia Yim win that ladder match, and lost to Kay Lee Ray. The writing is on the wall.

Pick – Team Baszler

Evan: Similar to the other guys, I see some shenanigans giving the win to team Baszler. Shayna has a big triple threat the next night at Survivor Series, so she will look strong in this match.

Pick – Team Baszler
