NXT UK Results

This week had a big return and a massive eight man main event. Full results from Thursday’s action:

  • Piper Niven def. Jinny
  • Eddie Dennis def. Dereiss Gordon
  • Noam Dar def. Ashton Smith
  • Imperium versus Gallus & Ilja Dragunov ends in a no-contest

The show was notable for the return of Toni Storm. Piper Niven had called out UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray. When the champ was done with Niven, Toni Storm made her presence known. What this means for the NXT UK Women’s Division is yet to be seen, but there seems to be quite the line up for a shot at Kay Lee Ray.

Eddie Dennis returned to action, and he has his eyes on Trent Seven. Dennis looked good in his match against Dereiss Gordon.

The main event eight man tag ended in bedlam. This week’s show went off the air with all eight men slugging it out and no winner decided. Apparently next week the two sides will get together for some “negotiations” to settle their differences. Given that it is professional wrestling, I’m sure that will be a calm affair.

Bobby Fish Possibly Injured

On Wednesday’s NXT, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly defended the NXT Tag Team Championships against Keith Lee & Dominik Dijakovic. After returning from commercial, Fish had been replaced by Undisputed Era teammate Roderick Strong. They went on to retain the tag titles.

The reason for pulling Fish was due to injury. According to Dave Meltzer (h/t WrestlingInc), there was concern that Fish had suffered a concussion on a throw from the ring right before the commercial break. It is noted that Fish was walking around and seemed okay after the incident. Here’s hoping Bobby Fish is okay and the Undisputed Era remain at full health.

Collection of Wrestling Mount Rushmores

BleacherReport’s wrestling account tweeted out a picture on Thursday asking fans to name their Wrestling Mount Rushmores. Some wrestlers got in on the fun as well. Here are the Mount Rushmores of two former WWE Champions:

The debate of Wrestling Mount Rushmore is one that will never get a satisfactory answer. I’ve got Stone Cold, Ric Flair, Daniel Bryan, and one spot up for grabs. Who would be on yours?

One for the Road:

Batista shot his shot with Dana Brooke on Twitter this week. It paid off. It’s good to be The Animal.
