The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.

NXT Results:

This week’s NXT continued the fallout from TakeOver: WarGames. Dakota Kai still had to pay for her betrayal of her team, and the tension between the brand’s top faces and Undisputed Era continued. The full results:

  • Killian Dain def. Pete Dunne
  • Shayna Baszler def. Xia Li
  • Forgotten Sons def. Adrian Alanas & Leon Ruff
  • Rhea Ripley versus Dakota Kai never happens due to a brawl breaking out
  • Matt Riddle def. Kassius Ohno
  • KUSHIDA def. Cameron Grimes
  • Keith Lee, Tomasso Ciampa & Dominik Dijakovic def. Undisputed Era

NXT Takeaways:

Rhea Ripley was screwed by Dakota Kai at WarGames due to a swerve. Ripley decided to serve Kai up a swerve of her own before their match. Mia Yim returned from injury to confront Kai and all hell broke loose. Shayna Baszler and her band of goons came out and beat down Ripley three-on-one. It ended with Baszler granting Ripley an NXT Women’s Championship match, so I guess it’s a bit of a win for Rhea.

Keith Lee’s meteoric rise continues. He was put in a star position all night, going toe-to-toe with Adam Cole on the mic early and being the star of their six-man tag later. Lee even got the better of an interfering Finn Balor. With a clean pin on the NXT Champion to end the night, it looks like we may be basking in a Keith Lee title shot sooner rather than later.

KUSHIDA returned after two months away. Cameron Grimes was so excited by this fact that he stomped Raul Mendoza in the entrance way so he could get a crack at The Timesplitter:

AEW Results:

On the other side of the Wednesday Night War, AEW promised an electric six-man tag and a main event between Jon Moxley and Joey Janela. What other action took place from Champaign, Illinois? Full results for the night are here:

  • Dustin Rhodes & The Young Bucks def. Sammy Guevera & Santana & Ortiz
  • Rey Fenix def. Trent?
  • Nyla Rose def. Leva Bates
  • Kris Statlander def. Hikaru Shida
  • Pentagon Jr. def. Christopher Daniels
  • Jon Moxley def. Joey Janela

AEW Takeaways:

Cody is willing to give up a lot to fight MJF. He offered up watches, money, and more to MJF just for the chance to wrestle him and get some revenge.

A note on this as well – this was the only clip of the promo I could find. AEW is behind WWE in the speed in which they put things on social media. No Youtube clips, limited Twitter clips, etc. The quicker they get their media out there for repeat viewing, the more they may be able to draw in casual audiences through social media.

The List of Jericho has returned, but it has a new non-WWE name. Jericho unveiled the Lexicon of Le Champion tonight: a list of people he won’t be facing for the rest of 2019. Jurassic Express was not on that list, so the trio stepped up to Jericho. A match has been set for two weeks from now – Jungle Boy versus Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship; Jericho’s last title match of 2019.

Brandi Rhodes has a name for her and Awesome Kong: The Nightmare Collective. They tried to get Kris Statlander to join, but instead had a fan (indy wrestler Melanie Cruise) pledge to be a part of it by having her head shaved. Between Nightmare Collective, Dark Order, and The Butcher, The Blade & The Bunny, there sure are a lot of dark and creepy gimmicks in AEW. Maybe they should combine into one Ministry of Darkness-level creep crew.

Samoa Joe On Raw Commentary

Dio Maddin is moving out of the Raw booth, and Samoa Joe is moving in. WWE confirmed the move of Samoa Joe to the commentary booth alongside Jerry Lawler & Vic Joseph on Twitter.

Get ready to hear more of the smooooooooth sounds of @SamoaJoe on Monday nights as the former United States Champion will continue to be on the #RAW commentary team while @GREATBLACKOTAKU looks to step back into the squared circle!https://t.co/CrlvfnQTgh

— WWE (@WWE) December 4, 2019

Samoa Joe will be on the call on Monday nights while he recovers from a thumb injury. Maddin will now focus on a return to in-ring action. He made a bold proclamation on Twitter:

Matt Riddle moved on to Goldberg so I’ll retire Brock.

Steven Seagal’s Daughter Getting WWE Tryout

According to SquaredCircleSirens, Arissa Le Brock will be part of the next set of WWE tryouts this week. Le Brock is the daughter of action movie star Steven Seagal, and is trained in Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu. Her background is in martial arts and modelling.

One for the Road:

Is imitation the most sincere form of flattery? AEW did the Concerned Britt Baker spot that NXT did by accident. Also, don’t interrupt a Nyla Rose powerbomb.

If @nylarosebeast couldn't powerbomb Shanna, then she was gonna powerbomb Ref Rick Knox…..and then Shanna
