The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.

SmackDown Results:

We are a little over a week away from WWE’s TLC pay-per-view, and only one match was confirmed heading into tonight’s show. More were announced over the course of the evening, but first let’s get into the match results:

  • Alexa Bliss def. Mandy Rose
  • The Revival def. Lucha House Party, Heavy Machinery, and Mustafa Ali & Shorty G in a four-way elimination match
  • Lacey Evans def. Local competitor
  • Roman Reigns def. Dolph Ziggler

SmackDown Takeaways:

After being dragged below the ring by Bray Wyatt last week, many expected a new look Daniel Bryan to emerge on SmackDown. Instead, it was long-time Bryan rival The Miz who stepped up to Wyatt. The Fiend taunted Miz with photos of Miz’s family, and attacked him in a back room. It will be Miz who steps under the red lights to challenge The Fiend next at TLC.

Another match set for TLC is a tag team title bout between The New Day & The Revival. WWE going back to the well of these two teams means another enjoyable match, but also speaks to the lack of depth in the SmackDown tag team division. They need to build up a new team as a legitimate threat, or fans will tire of the classics these two squads put on.

The main event angle continued to showcase bad WWE ideas. Roman Reigns beat Dolph Ziggler, but was then chained up by King Corbin and his crew. The heels then covered Reigns with dog food… because he’s the Big Dog, get it? This type of “heat” is just not working, and none of it makes sense. Why does Ziggler want to help Corbin? How come Corbin is obsessed with people calling Reigns “The Big Dog” when he calls himself “The King”? These two fight in a TLC match next Sunday, and hopefully it will be the end of their feud.

Oney Lorcan Re-signs With WWE

GET EXCITED IN ALL CAPS, ONEY FANS. Oney Lorcan has re-signed with WWE on a multi-year deal, according to the man himself.

In October, Lorcan had apparently asked for his WWE release. Fow now it seems the 33-year-old will continue plying his trade and screaming on Twitter for the WWE.

MLW Updates: ACH Signed, Teddy Hart Released

Two roster move updates on Friday for Major League Wrestling. First is that they have signed ACH, who had wrestled with the company last in 2018. MLW confirmed the signing on Twitter:

The other roster move involved the release of Teddy Hart, nephew of Bret Hart and former MLW Middleweight Champion. Hart was recently named in allegations of the disappearance of ex-girlfriend and wrestling trainee Samantha Fiddler (h/t CagesideSeats). He had denied any involvement, but the release and lack of comment from MLW does play as ominous.

One for the Road:

May your weekend be as weird as this segment between Elias and Drake Maverick. See you Monday!
