The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.
WWE SmackDown Results:
It’s the TLC go-home show, and what did it hold for the SmackDown roster? We were promised a Miz interview ahead of his non-title match against Bray Wyatt on Sunday. What other matches were on the card? Full results from Friday night:
- Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross def. Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose
- The Revival def. Mustafa Ali & Shorty G
- Bayley def. Dana Brooke
- The Artists (Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro) def. Heavy Machinery
- Kofi Kingston versus Baron Corbin goes to a no-contest
- New Day def. Baron Corbin & Dolph Ziggler by disqualification
SmackDown Takeaways:
WWE has sold me on Miz versus Bray Wyatt. In one segment at the Mizanin home, WWE sold me on Wyatt’s creepy power. Also, big ups to Monroe on her acting debut. Her point at the end really makes the clip. Wyatt-Miz will be personal and will be intense. It is now worthy of main eventing TLC, especially now that we know a bit of why it’s Wyatt. The Fiend is busy with Daniel Bryan still, but Wyatt is free to deal with The Miz.

In lighter fare, Dash Wilder fell during his entrance. Thank you, internet, for never letting anything go by.

Also, Cesaro destroyed Heavy Machinery’s Christmas Ham. I hope this develops into an epic feud that all started with dropped pork.

Piper Niven Injury:
NXT UK Superstar Piper Niven took to Twitter to announce that she had a bout of Bell’s Palsy. She fortunately seems to be doing okay and has a good sense of humor about the situation.
Who’s got two thumbs, a funny face and has Bell’s Palsy?

On the plus side, I can now do a pretty smashing people’s eyebrow for the first time in my life so there’s that. 😂 pic.twitter.com/GzB3NwUqHr

One for the Road:
WWE is hip: it has a TikTok account now! Who says Vince McMahon doesn’t have his finger on the pulse of today’s youth? Also, remember Tout? You should remember Tout.
