Week 17 Playoff Scenarios

The final regular-season games of the 2019 NFL season are upon us. At this time next week, eight teams will be vying for the right to move on to the Divisional Round with a win on Wildcard Weekend. The Baltimore Ravens are the only team to have clinched a first-round bye to this point and all but the NFC East Division has crowned their champion. However, a couple of spots are still up for grabs and, of course, plenty of seeding will be decided this weekend.

Here are all the playoff scenarios for this weekend:

AFC

• The New England Patriots can clinch a first-round bye and the second seed with a win or tie OR a Kansas City Chiefs loss or tie.
• The Kansas City Chiefs clinches a first-round bye with a win and a New England Patriots loss.
• Oakland can clinch a playoff berth with a win and a Pittsburgh loss, a Tennessee loss, an Indianapolis win.
• Pittsburgh can clinch a playoff berth with a win and Tennessee loss OR a tie and a Tennessee loss.
• The Titans can clinch a playoff berth with a win OR a tie and Pittsburgh loss OR a Pittsburgh loss and an Indianapolis loss or tie.

NFC

• The Dallas Cowboys  can clinch the NFC East with a win and a Philadelphia loss
• The Green Bay Packers can clinch:
  • First-round bye:
    • A win OR
    • New Orleans loss OR
    • Tie and San Francisco loss OR
    • Tie and New Orleans Tie
  • Homefield throughout:
    • A win and San Francisco loss OR
    • A tie, a San Francisco loss AND a New Orleans loss or tie
• The New Orleans Saints clinches:
