SmackDown Results:
So much wrestling on one night. What an exciting time to be a wrestling fan. SmackDown this week promised a women’s triple threat tag. What other goodies did it have for us? Full results from Friday Night SmackDown:
- Dana Brooke & Lacey Evans def. Sasha Banks & Bayley and Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
- Chad Gable def. Dash Wilder
- Kofi Kingston def. The Miz
- Otis Dozovic def. Drew Gulak
- Braun Strowman def. Cesaro
- Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns def. Baron Corbin & Dolph Ziggler by disqualification
SmackDown Takeaways:
This week’s show was full of returns. The Usos returned to a huge pop, saving their cousin Roman Reigns from another embarrassing dose of dog food from Ziggler & Corbin. It looks like WWE may be going with the Uso-Reigns stable that has been teased so many times before. This could be the start of something truly spectacular for them.
New year. New goals. #RoyalRumble. #WrestleMania. #Smackdown. Through all the craziness, through all the travel, you can never replace the feeling of being with family. Now let’s get them boys wrestling!!! 🤙🏽 #Bloodline @WWEUsos @TaminaSnuka pic.twitter.com/0PEMvZt2if

The ending of the main event tag match was a disqualification because of another Fiend appearance. He still looks to get his claw into Daniel Bryan at any opportunity. Wyatt seems to firmly have the upper hand on Bryan going into their rematch, so how will Bryan get some momentum heading into the Rumble?
We also are going to have a Miz & John Morrison reunion it appears. Miz was decidedly more heel-ish in his interactions on this week’s show, and after losing to Kingston went to his locker room. When Cathy Kelley tried to get an answer from The Miz about his night, Morrison answered the door instead. WWE just got another bonafide tag team in their SmackDown tag division.
Sheamus also made his return to the ring. He saved Chad Gable from a two-on-one assault at the hands of The Revival. Sheamus then took the opportunity to Brogue Kick Gable’s head off. He may look like a good ol’ fashioned fella, but Sheamus is as dastardly as ever.
One for the Road:
