Raw Takeaways:

WELLLLLLLLL… Yeah, Big Show is back. He was the surprise partner of Samoa Joe and Kevi Owens, and honestly it worked. It was a nice surprise, he seemed to fit the mold of what they needed. He was a strong presence that helped to balance out the intimidating force of AOP.

Brock Lesnar is entering the Royal Rumble as the WWE Champion. He’s also doing so as the number one entrant. The real question is: why? Why would he want to enter the Royal Rumble? If he wins, do we get no WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania? Lots of questions, and not a lot of answers yet.

Lana and Bobby Lashley did a re-do of their wedding without any massive surprises. Rusev came on the tron and he’ll face Bobby Lashley next week. We heard through rumors that Vince McMahon loved the wedding angle, so we get more content.

Former PWG Ring Announcer Passes Away

Jon Ian, a long-time California wrestling staple and PWG ring announcer, has passed away. According to Fighful, Ian had worked with Mach-1 Wrestling, UPW, and Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. Many wrestlers took to Twitter to give their condolences. FPC Wrestling would like to extend their condolences to Ian’s family and friends.

CHIKARA & Wrestle Factory Part Ways With Rory Gulak

In light of accusations made on Twitter earlier this week of sexual misconduct, CHIKARA and Wrestle Factory have severed ties with Rory Gulak (h/t WrestlingInc). Rory, brother of WWE superstar Drew Gulak, had been a wrestler and trainer with the company. The full CHIKARA statement is below:

ICW in Scotland has also cancelled Rory Gulak’s appearance at an upcoming show.

No criminal charges have been laid against Gulak at this time.

Will Ospreay Injured

One of the stars of Wrestle Kingdom weekend is seemingly injured. PWInsider reported two days ago that Will Ospreay had injured his foot or ankle during Wrestle Kingdom 14. Ospreay posted on Twitter a photo with his foot raised, leading many to believe he is injured. No indication was given as to how long his injury may keep him out of action.

One for the Road:

A.J. Styles won his match with an RKO, continuing to poke and prod at Randy Orton. Give Styles’ RKO a rating out of 10. I give it a 6.5.
