Showtime Interested in MLW
WrestlingInc is reporting that Major League Wrestling has interest from television network Showtime. There had been rumors that news was coming that would transform the company. While there are no specifics in the report, having their programming on Showtime would be huge for MLW. Showtime previously had interest in AEW before it landed on TNT.
Two New Matches Set For When Worlds Collide
The card for NXT versus NXT UK continues to fill out (h/t PWInsider). WWE announced that Finn Balor would battle Ilja Dragunov on the show. Also announced for the show is Toni Storm challenging Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women’s Championship.

These two matches join the stable warfare match between Undisputed Era and Imperium as the three matches announced for the show. When Worlds Collide takes place January 25th, on Royal Rumble weekend.
Adam Cole is PWI’s Wrestler of the Year
He’s the Wrestler of the Year, baybay. Pro Wrestling Illustrated tweeted yesterday that Cole won the vote, narrowly beating out Chris Jericho. Of course Le Champion had to comment on it.

This weekend NXT UK returns to Blackpool for another TakeOver. WWE aired a preview episode for TakeOver, called Prime Target, during NXT UK’s regular slot on Thursday. The full card for TakeOver Blackpool II is here:

Lots of speculation regarding Tyson Fury & WrestleMania. Source said his fight at MGM Grand vs. Deontay Wilder on February 22 is crucial to him appearing in Tampa. If Wilder wins, Vince isn’t throwing $$ at a guy who just lost on PPV. So to a degree, the ball is in Fury’s court.
