WWE Raw Results:

We are on the way to the Royal Rumble, one of the most exciting parts of the WWE calendar. The big match announced for the card is a fist fight between Seth Rollins’ crew and Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe & Big Show. What would WWE have in store for the rest of the show? The results from Raw:

  • Drew McIntyre def. Randy Orton and A.J. Styles
  • Ricochet def. Mojo Rawley
  • Charlotte def. Sarah Logan
  • Mojo Rawley def. R-Truth (c) to win the 24/7 Championship
  • Bobby Lashley def. Rusev
  • Viking Raiders def. Singh Brothers
  • Aleister Black def. Buddy Murphy
  • Erick Rowan def. Local competitor
  • Seth Rollins & Authors of Pain def. Samoa Joe, Kevin Owens, & Big Show in a fist fight

WWE Raw Takeaways:

This week’s Raw had an MVP of the last hour: Buddy Murphy. First he put on a tremendous third act against Aleister Black. Murphy came up short, but it was arguably the best match of their three. After the loss, Murphy refused an interview at ringside and sat there dejected.

He sat there through the Rowan match, and into the main event. Before discussing Murphy further, first you must see this amazing flying cannonball from Kevin Owens off of the entrance ramp. It is an incredible feat.

During the main event, Rollins pleaded with Murphy at ringside to help him and AOP. Big Show looked to hit Rollins with a WMD Punch, and that’s when Murphy made his big move. He came to the aid of Rollins with a low-blow and helped them finish off the babyfaces. Murphy has been added to the unnamed stable of Rollins & Authors of Pain, making for a formidable foursome of bad guys.

Get excited for next week, as two long-time feuds will get big time matches. Rey Mysterio & Andrade will clash in a ladder match for the United States Championship. Rusev & Liv Morgan will team up to face Lana & Bobby Lashley. It’s looking to be another quality Raw next week.

Triple H Criticized For Paige Comment

When talking to the UK media after NXT UK’s latest TakeOver, Triple H made a comment on Edge and Paige potentially returning to the ring (h/t CagesideSeats):

“More importantly than that [returning to the ring], though, I would like to see them live long healthy lives. You know, Edge has kids. Paige – maybe. She probably has some she doesn’t know of, but um…”

The joke, which doesn’t even really make sense for a woman but is a common joke for men, did not land well with Paige or fans. She responded on Twitter:

Paige also received support on Twitter from coworkers like Nia Jax and Renee Young. For someone who has had her privacy violated and received lots of backlash online, Paige truly does not deserve more from her own boss.

Luke Harper’s First Post-WWE Booking Announced

Brodie Lee is back, and he’s at WrestleCon. WrestleCon announced Lee (f.k.a. Luke Harper in WWE) as one of ten new guests for their event in Florida on Wrestlemania 36 weekend (h/t WrestlingInc). The tweet announcing Lee’s appearance is below. While it isn’t an announced match, it is cool to see Lee back on the independent circuit. Lee’s WWE non-compete clause expires on Sunday, March 8th.

One for the Road:

R-Truth confronted Brock Lesnar, making the Lesnar-Paul Heyman segment that much better. Truth continues to be a national treasure.
