Finally, it has come down to four teams in the NFL Playoffs. While there are fewer players available, there are still several great fantasy football options for the NFL Fantasy Playoffs Start ‘Em Championship edition.
Just like everybody expected, Derrick Henry and Ryan Tannehill has led the Tennessee Titans to the AFC Championship Game. On the other side of the field, Patrick Mahomes looks to lead the Kansas City Chiefs to their first Super Bowl since 1970.
Meanwhile, in the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers take on the Green Bay Packers. Who would have thought that the NFC Championship Game would be contested between two former offensive coaches from the Washington NFL franchise? Both Head Coaches are rather young, and as a result, they bring some youthful energy to the game.
It is basically the final week of fantasy football until September when the 2020 NFL season begins. Although it is a sad thought, there is no better way than to walk away from the 2019 season with a little more success.
Unlike last week, I am only letting myself choose one quarterback since there are only four teams playing. Aaron Rodgers is where I am leaning this week, following a heroic performance in the divisional round. If Rodgers is able to replicate what he did last week, you will not be disappointed and I am not shying away from playing him despite the tough matchup against the 49ers.
Quarterback Rankings for Conference Championship Week
- Aaron Rodgers – Packers
- Patrick Mahomes – Chiefs
- Jimmy Garoppolo – 49ers
- Ryan Tannehill – Titans
I refused to play him last week and I played the price. So, you need to start Derrick Henry. He is largely responsible for the Titans playoff run, so far, and the Titans will undoubtedly rely on him to try and get them to the Super Bowl. It is just tough to imagine that the Titans would completely change gears and force much of the game on the shoulders on Tannehill.
Meanwhile, Aaron Jones is the safest play. He is the most dynamic player in the NFC Championship game and will play a big role for the Packers. As a result, his fantasy performance this week should be productive. Therefore he should be in most fantasy lineups.

- Raheem Mostert – 49ers
- Matt Breida – 49ers

I cannot convince myself to ignore Davante Adams this week. Adams played one of the most clutch and impressive games in recent memory. Certainly, he helped catapult the Packers into the NFC Championship game. As a result, I am not wavering against the defensive matchup this week and will hope Adams remains heavily targeted as always.
Certainly, A.J. Brown and Deebo Samuel are two other plays I like. Brown is Tannehill’s favorite target and will see plenty of balls thrown his way. Samuel is such a game-changer, who can flip the game over on itself with his legs or with his hands. Both rookies are worth a look when completing your lineup this week.

I would imagine that there is not much to debate at the tight end position this week. George Kittle and Travis Kelce are the clear choices. Therefore, the only decision you have to make is which one you would rather start. Personally, I would usually lean Kittle because of the worse depth at receiver for the 49ers, but I like Kelce a lot this week and will be starting him. Kittle has injury concerns entering the week, and while he should play, he may not be 100%. As a result, I think Kelce has a better matchup and will see more targets, giving him much more upside. However, you can not go wrong starting either of them this week. Therefore, lineups containing either tight end should do the trick.
