The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.

NXT UK Results

Worlds Collide is on Saturday night, meaning this was the go-home show for the TakeOver-esque show. There were two spots left in the Cruiserweight Championship Fatal 4-way on Saturday up for grabs. Who claimed them? We’ve got the full results right here:

  • Jordan Devlin def. Ligero to earn a spot in the Cruiserweight Championship match at Worlds Collide
  • Ilja Dragunov def. Josh Morrell
  • Travis Banks def. Brian Kendrick to earn a spot in the Cruiserweight Championship match at Worlds Collide

NXT Women’s Championship Gets Renamed

There’s a change coming to the NXT Women’s Championship. According to PWInsider, the title will soon be known just as the NXT Championship. This will remove the gendered naming of the title, which is something that does not exist for the men’s NXT Championship. The internal memo mentioned by PWInsider comes just two days after Becky Lynch talked about how to continue furthering the women’s revolution: stop labeling everything “womens”.

It’s a progressive step to present wrestling in an equal way for both men’s and women’s division. Hopefully the main roster follows the same route.

Impact Notes: Returns to Twitch, Star Undergoes Surgery

Two notes on Impact Wrestling. First is that Rich Swann underwent ankle surgery on Thursday (h/t ProWrestlingSheet). Impact tweeted out support for Swann, and Swann’s wife Su Yung asked for prayers as well. All the best to Swann in his recovery.

Impact has also had it’s Twitch account returned. The account was banned after an episode of Impact Wrestling featured a segment with Rob Van Dam, Katie Forbes and her girlfriend with whipped cream covering their naked bodies. Glad to see Impact back on Twitch, which they made light of on Twitter:
