The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.
NXT Results:
The fallout episode from NXT TakeOver: Portland is here. Roderick Strong finally met Velveteen Dream 1-1 on Wednesday night in Dream’s first match back since his injury. Will Johnny Gargano be held accountable for his actions in Portland? All that and likely more on NXT this week, so let’s look at the results:
- Jordan Devlin (c) def. Lio Rush to retain the NXT Cruiserweight Championship
- Grizzled Young Veterans def. Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza
- The Broserweights def. Oney Lorcan & Danny Burch
- Keith Lee def. Kona Reeves
- Chelsea Green def. Kayden Carter
- Velveteen Dream def. Roderick Strong
NXT Takeaways:
Bianca Belair is going to get her moment in the sun, even if she has to take it. Belair interrupted the Green-Carter match, taking a mic and challenging Charlotte Flair to a match. While it isn’t certain to lead to a Wrestlemania triple threat, at least Belair has a shot at Charlotte. Belair has been absolute money since her Royal Rumble performance, and WWE should capitalize on how hot she is getting right now.
Doesn't matter if it's here, there, when or where, @BiancaBelairWWE wants @MsCharlotteWWE! 👊👊👊#WWENXT pic.twitter.com/ryio3gO3wJ

Johnny Gargano did not answer for his sins, but Tommaso Ciampa did want to know why. Ciampa interrupted an Austin Theory match before we could even find out who the opponent was. He went on the mic and talked about how in order to get his life back on track, Ciampa can’t have Gargano in NXT. It seems like an early build to a loser-leaves-NXT match for Wrestlemania weekend, which could be a next progression for their match catalog.

If WWE is set on having the Cruiserweight Championship as a travelling belt, Jordan Devlin is a great choice for champ. He put on a great match with Lio Rush this week, and can be counted on for an excellent match every single night.

AEW Dynamite Results:
It was an absolutely stacked episode of Dynamite last night as they build towards Revolution in two weeks time. A tag team battle royal, a Tag Team Championship match, and a main event cage match made for a stellar card. Here are the results:
- Young Bucks win a tag team battle royal, earning a AEW Tag Team Championship match at Revolution
- Kris Statlander def. Shanna
- Jon Moxley def. Jeff Cobb
- Adam Page & Kenny Omega (c) def. Lucha Bros to retain the AEW Tag Team Championships
- Cody Rhodes def. Wardlow in a cage match
AEW Dynamite Takeaways:
Cody Rhodes versus MJF is the best built storyline in wrestling right now. Each segment seems to hit the mark, and Cody’s cage match with Wardlow was no different. The cage match was intense and Cody got bloodied up. It was the ending that will have all fans buzzing for the next while. This is a clip that will be replayed many, many times as one of the highlights of early AEW.

Nyla Rose has two challengers approaching for her AEW Women’s Championship. Both Big Swole and Kris Statlander have staked their claim to challenge Rose, and a triple threat match could be in the offing. These three represent some good characters for AEW to develop in their women’s division, as right now it is a division that needs more time to express their personalities.

During the tag team battle royal, SCU ended up brawling with the Dark Order into the stands. Some eagle eyed fans noticed Raven sitting behind where the Dark Order was. Does this make him the Exalted One that the Order has talked about? Even if Raven is a plant to throw us off the scent, it makes for an exciting possibility.

The AEW Tag Team Championship match was insanely good, and would be more talked about if the cage match wasn’t such an incredible moment.
