The Boston Bruins could be a man short tonight as they try to widen the lead in the Atlantic Division when they take on the second-place Tampa Bay Lightning in Tampa. Brad Marchand is a game-time decision with an “illness”. Flu season is never fun.
The Bruins forward did not take the skate this morning. Right now The Bruins are on fire having won two straight and are an impressive 13-3-0 in their passed sixteen games and have a seven-point gap between them and the “Stamkosless” Lightning.
Marchand being out is obviously not great news for the Bruins and I would expect that Jake Debrusk would feature in his spot alongside Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak. Either way, both teams will be hungry for two-points and one would expect the temperature in this game should be HOT.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are 1-4-0 in their last five games following the record 11-game winning streak they had put together over the 4 previous weeks prior. The Lightning will be missing their captain Steven Stamkos for the rest of the regular season as he just had successful core-muscle surgery. Tampa loaded up at the deadline and surely are one of the deepest forward groups in the entire NHL.
No matter what dog you have in this fight it should be a dandy!. Tuukka Rask will be in the pipes for the Bruins, Andrei Vasilevskiy will be in net for the Bolts. Both of these teams feature a couple of guys who are red hot!. David Pastrnak has 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) in his past 11 games while, Lightning forward Kucherov as 31 points (14 goals, 17 assists) in his past 19 games. Both teams will have to stay out of the box tonight as they both have deadly power-play units. Watch tonights game with me on Sportscastr or follow along on my Twitter.
