Per Jeff Passan of ESPN, The MLB will announce later today that both the Cactus League and Grapefruit League are being suspended indefinitely in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic plaguing the country. No one in the MLB is confirmed to have the COVID-19 virus as of this point.
The earliest that the season could possibly begin is April 9, per the release. The Athletics, Mariners, and Royals were all not going to be able to have fans at their home ballparks to start the year due to Emergency Proclamation orders.
