With the NHL season on hold due to the outbreak of COVID-19, the Bruins are still making moves to improve their team.Today the Bruins announced that they have signed undrafted defenseman Jack Ahcan to a two-year entry level deal.
Ahcan, at 22 years of age, tallied 7 goals, 18 assists for 25 points in 33 games played this season as the captain of St. Cloud State University. The 5’8, 185 pound, left shot defender gives the Bruins some added roster depth at defense for themselves and for their farm system in Providence.

Ahcan isn’t the biggest of players, but he is a solid pickup for the Bruins. His quick stick work and skating ability puts him in comparison with a Krug style defender. He won USHL Defenseman of the Year in 2015-16, along with scoring the most goals by a defender that year with 14. Ahcan can’t be more excited to join his first NHL team and can’t wait to get started with his new team.

St. Cloud St free-agent D Jack Ahcan, who "quietly had an excellent senior season," according @SchlossmanGF, is headed to BOS.
