The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.

AEW Dynamite Results

Two more quarterfinal matches in the TNT Championship Tournament book-ended this week’s episode of Dynamite. Kenny Omega was also in action, as was the leader of the Dark Order. Here are the full results from this week’s AEW Dynamite.

  • Darby Allin def. Sammy Guevara in a TNT Championship Tournament Quarterfinal Match
  • Kenny Omega def. Alan Angels
  • Orange Cassidy def. Jimmy Havoc
  • Wardlow def. Lee Johnson
  • Brodie Lee def. Justin Law
  • Dustin Rhodes def. Kip Sabian in a TNT Championship Tournament Quarterfinal Match

There will be no retirement from Dustin Rhodes on this day! Dustin had said he’d retire if he lost in the first round to Sabian, and put in a heck of an effort to keep his legendary career going. The semi finals for the tournament are Cody versus Darby Allin in one and Lance Archer versus Dustin Rhodes in the other. Are we going to see an all-Rhodes final? Not likely, because this tournament is Archer’s to lose.

The Dark Order has a new recruit in Preston Vance. He reached out to the Dark Order to give him guidance in life. It’s great to see a cult actually recruiting people, unlike another famous cult that Lee was in.

MJF gave us all an update on an injury he suffered. This was played up as a serious injury for us all to care about. It was not.

NXT Results

The NXT Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament continued with three matches on Wednesday night. Velveteen Dream and Johnny Gargano were also scheduled to face off, but Balor was attacked (in storyline). Instead, Dream & Keith Lee teamed up against Undisputed Era. How did it all play out? Here are the results for NXT this week:

Latest From FPC on SportsCastr

  • Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez def. Tegan Noz & Shotzi Blackheart
  • Jake Atlas def. Drake Maverick in an NXT Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament match
  • KUSHIDA def. Tony Nese in an NXT Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament match
  • Mia Yim def. Jessi Kamea
  • El Hijo del Fantasma def. Jack Gallagher in an NXT Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament match
  • Velveteen Dream & Dexter Lumis def. Undisputed Era

That’s right – Dexter Lumis ended up helping out Velveteen. Lee was taken out by Damian Priest, and Lumis appeared to tag with Dream. He got in quite a bit of offense and helped secure the win for the strange duo.

Scarlett Bordeaux made an appearance in a video package, narrating a video package about how doomsday is upon us. Timely, Scarlett. Her and Karrion Kross appear to be catapulted straight to the top of the NXT landscape.

They aren’t the only couple in NXT. In fact, the first couple of NXT had a great video segment from their home. Candice LeRae has a new look with purple-grey hair, and they were both insufferable. Her and Johnny Gargano talked about how NXT is full of bad people, and good people like them are overlooked. Between their conversation and their framed athletic cup on the table, these two have fully converted to being the worst.

Rob Gronkowski Returns to Football

Gronk is back in the NFL. He came back from retirement and was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to join Quarterback Tom Brady. What does that mean for his wrestling career and his 24/7 Championship reign? As of now we don’t know for sure, but he still is living the gimmick.

One for the Road

In case you didn’t know, Sammy Guevara is pretty good.
