With the 145th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Jack Driscoll, offensive tackle from Auburn University.
Jack Driscoll was a graduate transfer from the University of Massachusetts. Driscoll completed his degree in 3 years. After redshirting his freshman season, Driscoll still had two years of eligibility. He transferred to Auburn for an increase in competition.
Jack Driscoll is listed at 6’5 306lbs. The one thing we can say about Jack is his consistency. He played in 45 consecutive games as a collegiate football player. Driscoll played offensive guard at UMASS. When transferring to Auburn, he moved to offensive tackle where he excelled. Driscoll went from receiving only two offers in high school to being drafted in the 4th round of the NFL Draft.
- Excellent Hand technique
- Solid zone-blocking technique
- Good lateral mobility
- Smart Football player
- Lacks length to play tackle
- Play Strength
- Needs to add body mass to handle power rushers
- Develop upper body strength
Although there were other prospects I would’ve drafted over Driscoll; the Eagles still made a solid pick at 145. He provides offensive line depth the Eagles need. Driscoll is a versatile player being able to play both Guard and tackle. He’s a developmental prospect for the Eagles. With the tutelage of the veteran players on the line, Driscoll should be able to learn from the best. In a few years, Jack Driscoll could turn into a reliable option in the Eagles rotation, or even as an interior starter down the road.
