The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.
AEW Dynamite Results
Both TNT Championship semi-finals book-ended Wednesday night’s Dynamite. Still airing from an undisclosed location and filmed ahead of time, it’s more shows without a crowd. Also on the show was a no-dq, no countout tag team match and Brodie Lee battled Mark Stunt. Who came out on top? We’ve got all the results for you here:
- Cody Rhodes def. Darby Allin in a TNT Championship Tournament semi-final match
- Wardlow def. Musa
- Best Friends def. Jimmy Havoc & Kip Sabian in a No-DQ, No Countout match
- Shawn Spears def. Baron Black
- Brodie Lee def. Marko Stunt
- Lance Archer def. Dustin Rhodes in a TNT Championship Tournament semi-final match
The finals are now set for the first ever TNT Championship, and they are intriguing. Lance Archer has been a dominant newcomer since arriving on the scene alongside Jake Roberts. Cody Rhodes has been in his sights since his debut, so their pairing is interesting. Rhodes isn’t allowed to compete for the AEW World Championship due to losing to Chris Jericho – does that mean he’s long for being the first TNT Champion?

Best Friends and the team of Havoc & Sabian put on an entertaining no disqualification match. It’s nice to see Best Friends get wins but still be allowed to be comedic. You’re allowed to have both, and AEW seems to understand that. Orange Cassidy made an appearance and was as excellent as ever.

Britt Baker appeared to tell us how to be a leader. It was inspirational. Also, if you wear glasses and you’re not a doctor, cut that out.

NXT Results
This week on NXT the tournament to crown an Interim NXT Cruiserweight Champion continued. We also had the in-ring debut of Candice LeRae’s heel persona, and Charlotte Flair battled Mia Yim. What else would the black and yellow brand have in store? Here are the full results from Wednesday’s NXT:
- Isaiah “Swerve” Scott def. El Hijo del Fantasma in an NXT Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament round robin match
- Candice LeRae def. Kacy Catanzaro
- Charlotte Flair def. Mia Yim
- Dexter Lumis def. Shane Thorne
- Drake Maverick def. Tony Nese in an NXT Interim Cruiserweight Championship Tournament round robin match
- Keith Lee (c) def. Damian Priest to retain the NXT North American Championship
One of the biggest takeaways from Wednesday was that next week Velveteen Dream will get an NXT Championship match against Adam Cole. With the rumors of inappropriate conduct (which Dream denied) out there, it will be interesting to see how the match plays out.

Timothy Thatcher and Matt Riddle, newly combined tag team champions, had a round of the Newly-Bro game! This was pretty funny until Imperium came out to ruin it. It looks like it will be Imperium versus the new version of the Broserweights, which should be a hard hitting affair.
Finally, Karrion Kross & Scarlett Bordeaux will arrive next week. WWE has done such a good job building these two up – now let’s see if they live up to the hype.
