The Big Game
My initial instinct was to focus one of the three divisional games in the first half of the Packers 2020 schedule. The NFC is always incredibly competitive. With the Vikings and Lions as opponents to open the season, Green Bay will need to be ready right out of the gate.
However, the game that I will reference as the “Big One” is the week 9 matchup in San Francisco. The 49ers were the NFC representatives for last year’s Super Bowl. In two contests against them, the Packers lost both games by a combined score of 74-28. Regardless of how well Green Bay is playing entering that early November matchup, it will be a measuring stick. If the Packers have any hope of competing for a title, they need to make a game out of it. Imagine if they can even beat the 49ers in San Francisco. It could be what springboards the team to a playoff run. Like it or not, the 49ers are the favorites in the NFC.
