The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.
Becky Lynch Announces Pregnancy, Relinquishes Title
The Man had some wonderful news on Monday night: she’s becoming The Mom. Becky Lynch opened Raw with a great promo talking about how much the fans mean to her, and that she needed to tell the fans that she’s going away. Asuka appeared and Lynch explained that the Money in the Bank match wasn’t just for the briefcase, but for the title. Lynch relinquished the title as she takes time off for her pregnancy.
Huge congratulations to Lynch and to her partner Seth Rollins. No idea how long Lynch will be gone for, but her promo had a vibe that it will be a long while before we see Lynch again. Congratulations again to the mom to be!
WWE Raw Results
Raw kicked off with the huge announcement about Becky Lynch and the Raw Women’s Championship. After that there was still more to enjoy! What else did the Money in the Bank fallout show have to offer? Here are the results for Raw:
- Bobby Lashley def. Humberto Carrillo in a No DQ Match
- Angel Garza def. Akira Tozawa
- Drew McIntyre def. Andrade Cien Almas
- IIconics def. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
- Cedric Alexander, Ricochet & R-Truth def. Brendan Vink, Shane Thorne, & MVP
- Aleister Black & Rey Mysterio def. Seth Rollins & Buddy Murphy by DQ
- Shayna Baszler def. Natalya
Seth Rollins was a different man tonight. He came out for his tag match looking disheveled and staring into space. Once he got involved in the match he brutally attacked Rey Mysterio and drove his eye into the steps. The loss on Sunday seems to have snapped something inside Rollins’ brain. What an interesting development to the Messiah. Rollins and Murphy were confronted backstage by Black afterwards, and it did not go well… for Murphy.

Randy Orton and Edge were in the main event spot of Raw. Coming off of their long and brutal Last Man Standing at Wrestlemania, it was the first time either man was back on TV. They used the main event slot to set up a rematch for Backlash. It will be Orton versus Edge in a regular singles match. If there was ever a time for the Viper to get a sneaky victory, it’s here.

WWE snuck in an announcement that SmackDown superstars will now be appearing on Raw. The first will be Baron Corbin, coming to Raw to challenge Drew McIntyre next week. It seems like they’re sneaking in the Wild Card Rule again, and that is just not something we want to see. Keep the brands split or get rid of it all together, WWE.
#WWEChampion @DMcIntyreWWE is victorious tonight …
And he's ready to accept THE INVITATION next week on #WWERaw for a match against #SmackDown's King @BaronCorbinWWE! pic.twitter.com/4oobMX3fbC

We had a return on the show and it was IIconic! Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are back and have immediately added a jolt of fun to the show. These two are always wildly entertaining, and now they have a victory over the Women’s Tag Champions. It looks as if a second title reign could be in the future of Kay & Royce.

Street Profits dusted the Viking Raiders in a basketball game. I miss the NBA so much that I was just happy to see a court.

First Double or Nothing Ladder Match Competitors Announced
AEW is going with a Casino Ladder Match at Double or Nothing instead of their previously-run Casino Battle Royale. This match will grant the winner an AEW World Championship match at a later date. So far only two competitors have been confirmed: Darby Allin and Colt Cabana.

WWE Doing Shorter PPVs?
Money in the Bank’s main card on Sunday clocked in at just 2 hours and 24 minutes. That makes it one of the shortest WWE pay-per-views of all time, not counting In Your House shows. This is apparently a conscious decision by Vince McMahon. According to WrestlingNews.co, Vince wants there to be shorter pay-per-view times until fans can be let back into the arena. This means the next few WWE pay-per-views could be much easier viewing for fans at home.
One for the Road:
