The Wrestling Roundup is here to bring you all the news and rumors you need to know in one place.
WWE SmackDown Results
It was a great Friday for some wrasslin’ from WWE SmackDown. On the card Friday was a WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship match and Jeff Hardy on Miz TV. What else did the show have in store? The answer is a karaoke contest and a replay of a match from Money in the Bank. Yay? Here are the results from this week’s SmackDown.
- Jeff Hardy def. Miz
- Bayley & Sasha Banks def. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
- Naomi def. Lacey Evans, Dana Brooke & Tamina in a karaoke contest
- Lacey Evans vs Naomi goes to a no-contest
- New Day (c) vs Artists Collective goes to a no-contest in a SmackDown Tag Team Championship match
Highlight of the night: a karaoke contest. Not really, but it is nice to see Naomi get some time on a mic and in the ring. Whenever Bayley is done at the top of the SmackDown mountain, I’d like to see Naomi as champion.
Also, is a heel turn in the cards for Alexa Bliss at Extreme Rules? Her and Nikki have been losing often, and Bliss is an amazing heel. Could be time for her to go back to the bad side.
WWE Extreme Rules Card
With a little over a week to go before Extreme Rules 2020, let’s take a look at how the card is shaping up:
- Drew McIntyre (c) vs Dolph Ziggler – WWE Championship
- Braun Strowman vs Bray Wyatt – Wyatt Swamp Fight
- Bayley (c) vs Nikki Cross – SmackDown Women’s Championship
- Asuka (c) vs Sasha Banks – Raw Women’s Championship
- Apollo Crews (c) vs MVP – United States Championship
- Rey Mysterio vs Seth Rollins – Eye for an Eye Match
- Sheamus vs Jeff Hardy – Bar Fight
We know that the Wyatt Swamp Fight will be cinematic. Will the Eye for an Eye Match or Bar Fight get the same treatment? I hope both do, as both could be very entertaining with that level of production.

In case you missed it, Sami Zayn’s mobile clinic Sami for Syria has opened and is treating patients! Big ups to Sami for consistently being one of wrestling’s best ambassadors. For more info on his charitable cause, go to SamiForSyria.com.
Launching the mobile clinic was delayed by a heart attack, border issues, and yes, a global pandemic, but it is here now!
So far, it has treated an average of 126 patients/day.
