According to Brian Costello, the Jets are sending Adams and a 2022 fourth-round pick to the Seahawks in exchange for safety Bradley McDougald, a 2021 first and third-round pick, and a 2022 first-round pick.
This move comes on the heels of Adams discussing his concerns with Manish Mehta about Adam Gase’s ability to lead the Jets moving forward. This is in addition to his open lobbying for a trade for much of the offseason. And now, he is one his way to the Pacific Northwest.
I had not talked to anyone who thought the Jets could get two 1s for Adams. Joe Douglas deserves credit for getting it done. Now, he just has to nail the picks. #nyj

The Seahawks paid a hefty price for Adams but now sports a secondary that employs Adams, Quandre Diggs, and Shaq Griffin. During the height of their success, the secondary was the identity of the Seahawks with guys like Richard Sherman, Cam Chancellor, and Earl Thomas patrolling the backfield.
