Despite having both Ronald Jones and rookie Ke’Shawn Vaughn on the roster, the Buccaneers had been sniffing around other running backs. Now, according to Adam Schefter, they have found one.
Veteran RB LeSean McCoy reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per @rosenhaussports. “He’s very excited to play with established vets like Brady and Gronk in trying to win another championship,” Rosenhaus said.

The Bucs and former Eagle, Bill, and Chief, LeSean McCoy have reached an agreement on a one-year contract. McCoy joins Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski as big-name offseason acquisitions for the Buccaneers. He won a Super Bowl as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs in February.
Although not the workhorse he once was, McCoy adds yet another dynamic to this Bucs offense that could be one of the best the NFL has seen in years. For years under Brady, the Patriots utilized several running backs with various different skill sets and it seems the Bucs are looking to replicate that with Jones, Vaughn, and now, McCoy.
Buccaneers’ RBs now include:

The six-time Pro Bowler has not played a full season since 2017 with the Bills where he rushed for 1,138 yards and six touchdowns on 287 carries. In addition, he had 59 receptions for 448 yards. A valuable skillset in Brady-led offense.
2017 ended a run of five seasons in which he averaged 1,245 yards on the ground each year. McCoy’s best season came in 2013 with Philadelphia where he gained 1,607 yards on the ground, 539 yards through the air, 11 total touchdowns and his 2,146 yards from scrimmage led the entire NFL.
