For the New England Patriots, a New(ton) era is about to begin. However, by 4:00pm today (Saturday, September 5th) the team must trim its roster to the 53 members, with which they choose to march into the upcoming season.
The transactions to begin this process began earlier this week by releasing veteran wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, waiving cornerback Michael Jackson and placing defensive tackle Michael Barnett on injured reserve.
