It’s a who’s who on the Week 7 inactives list
Game time is upon us and the list of Washington inactives have been released. It is tattered with players Ron Rivera and company had hoped would contribute in this next installment of the Washington-Dallas rivalry.
QB Dwayne Haskins
WR Robert Foster
LB Thomas Davis, Sr.
LT Geron Christian, Sr.
WR Isaiah Wright
DE Casey Toohill
DE James Smith-Williams
Left tackle Geron Christian, Sr. was a late addition to the injury report and then to the inactive list. He has shown small moments of improvement, but he continues to deal with a knee issue. Cornelius Lucas will be starting in Christian’s place.
Rookie wide receiver Isaiah Wright who has seen his snap share increase every week went down late last week against the New York Giants with a shoulder injury and the team hopes to get him back after the bye week. While the newest Washington Football receiver, Robert Foster, was signed too late in the COVID protocol cycle that he was going to miss this week either way. Terry McLaurin and Dontrelle Inman will see their targets, but expect to see other young names make an impact today.
Quarterback Dwayne Haskins continues to be inactive as he made a knuckleheaded move by breaking the NFL’s COVID-19 protocols by getting a friend a room at the hotel the team was staying at while they were in New York.
Veteran linebacker Thomas Davis, Sr. will likely continue to see his stint on the inactive list continue beyond this week now that Cole Holcomb has returned to the line-up and adds speed on the field to help cover tight ends.
