Welcome to the Week Ten Live Blog! We are close to kickoff, so get settled after your trip to the fridge and the bathroom! This is a big test for New England after last week’s interesting win, and this could also decide if they have a chance to make the playoffs in 2020. Enjoy the game!
FIRST QUARTER
15:00- The Ravens offense will take the field to begin the night. Can the Patriots stop the run?
14:49- Jackson has all day, hits Ingram in the flat for 18; 1st & 10…
14:17- Good defense as Ingram runs for one; 2nd & 9…
13:30- Good deflection bu Simon to break up the play; 3rd & 9…
13:23- J. McCourtey with great coverage; 4th & 9…Olszewski got hit on the fair catch so the Patriots pick up 15 extra yards. 1st & 10, Patriots.
13:08- Harris for six; 2nd & 4…
12:34- Harris for six more and a Patriots first down; 1st & 10…
12:17- Harris for six more; 2nd & 4…
11:57- Harris for four; 1st & 10…
11:32- Harris for nothing; 2nd & 10…
11:00- Newton for seven and a hammer at the end 3rd & 3…
10:17- Screen for two; 4th & 1 and the Patriots will go for it…
9:46- Newton sneaks for three; 1st & 10…
9:08- Meyers with the drop; 2nd & 10…
9:04- White for four; 3rd & 6…
8:26- Newton sacked and that knocks New England back out of field goal range; 4th & 11, Patriots will punt…
7:59- Good punt by Bailey and the Ravens will take over at their own seven. 1st & 10…
7:54- Dobbins runs for four; 2nd & 6…
7:08- Dobbins for four; 3rd & 2…
6:21- Jackson slips through on the QB sweep left. It was actually defended well; 1st & 10…
5:29- Jackson tries to run but gets hammered on the play; 2nd & 9…
4:54- Andrews WIDE OPEN for 15; 1st & 10…
4:15- Edwards runs for five; 2nd & 5 and the Ravens are driving…
3:30- Snead with a gain of 23; 1st & 10…
2:51- Jackson takes it on the zone read for seven; 2nd & 3…
2:18- Duvarney for 17; 1st & 10…
1:46- Jackson for four on the QB sweep left; 2nd & 6…
:58- Dobbins for four; 3rd & 2…
:16- Edwards gets just enough for the 1st to end the quarter. Strong drive by the Ravens here, but the Patriots red zone defense has been stout all year. Can they step up and make a play? We’ll see; Patriots 0, Ravens 0
SECOND QUARTER
15:00- Touchdown, Ravens. Snead took the underhanded shovel pass for six; that looked easy. Ravens 7, Patriots 0
14:47- 20-yard gain by Meyers gets 15 added for a lowering the helmet on the tackle; 1st & 10…
14:26- Incomplete to Burkhead; 2nd & 10…
14:19- Burkhead runs for seven; 3rd & 3…
13:30 Burkhead rips off six and runs into the back of Harry’s legs, who limps off; 1st & 10…
13:01- Harris runs for three; 2nd & 7…
12:22- Izzo takes it down to the Ravens six; 1st & Goal…
11:46- TOUCHDOWN, PATRIOTS!! Newton hits Burkhead in the flat and he does the work for the score and the Patriots get the answer they needed after Baltimore waltzed down the field. Patriots 7, Ravens 7
11:38- Jackson for nine; 2nd & 1…false start, 2nd & 6…
10:24- Ingram for four; 3rd & 2…
9:43- Jackson for two and barely gets the first down; 1st & 10…
8:58- 14 yards after Winovich made the “tackle”…1st & 10…
8:15- Gain of three on the run; 2nd & 7…
7:30- Edwards gains 30; 1st & 10…
6:48- They called lowering the helmet again, this time on the Patriots. 1st & Goal…
6:27- Incomplete pass to Brown; 2nd & Goal…
6:21- Gain of three for Hill; 3rd & Goal…
5:36- The Patriots get the much-needed hold to force the field goal attempt…and it’s good. The Patriots defense is playing OK considering they are dealing with Lamar Jackson, who is just a matchup nightmare. Ravens 10, Patriots 7
5:27- Harris for three tough yards; 2nd & 7…
4:51- Newton on the draw for five; 3rd & 2…
4:08- White on the dangerous screen for four yards; big play for New England. 1st & 10…
3:28- Harris for 12 on the tough run up the gut; 1st & 10…
2:48- Harris runs for five more; the guy is a hammer. 2nd & 5…
2:05- Harris for two; 3rd & 3 and we have reached the two-minute warning. Harris has rushed 10 times for 46 yards, but this might be a good time for play-action, even if it is a bootleg by Newton. Get creative here, any type of score would be HUGE.
2:00- Meyers gains four and a first down; 1st & 10 from the Ravens 41…
1:22- Harris for 12 on the great run off the toss; 1st & 10…
1:10- Harris for six more as he rips of chunks of yardage; 2nd & 4, timeout Patriots, their second of the half.
1:02- TOUCHDOWN, PATRIOTS!! Jakobi Meyers caught the backward pass and threw a dime to Burkhead deep in the end zone for six points. Six points is exactly where the drive ends because Folk shanked the extra point, which could come back to haunt them. Patriots 13, Ravens 10
:50- Uche with the sack! Loss of seven; 2nd & 17…
:33- Gain of nine on the play, timeout, Ravens. 3rd & 8…
:31- Snead for nine and a 1st down; 1st & 10 from their own 35…
:25- Andrews gains nine; 2nd & 1, timeout, Ravens.
:18- Jackson connects with Brown to the Patriots 44; timeout, Ravens. They still have one left, I was off last time. My bad.
:14- Brown for five; 2nd & 5…
:07- INTERCEPTION, PATRIOTS!! J.C. Jackson makes another huge play, his seventh pick of the year, which leads the NFL. Newton takes a knee to end the half, and that was as good as a result for the Patriots as they could have wanted. PATRIOTS 13, RAVENS 10
HALFTIME
THIRD QUARTER
15:00- Harris rips off a run for 15 more; 1st & 10…
14:14- Harris runs for 25 yards and goes over 100 already; 1st & 10…
13:35- Meyers with the catch at the Ravens seven, and there was a late hit called. 1st & Goal…
13:17- TOUCHDOWN, PATRIOTS!! Newton takes it right for the easy score on the QB sweep for the touchdown, a great way to start the second half. Damien Harris and the offensive line are tearing up the Ravens front seven, so there is absolutely no need to get away from this formula, even if you have to run Burkhead to spell Harris. Patriots 20, Ravens 10
13:13- Gain of seven through the air for Baltimore; 2nd & 3…
12:33- Edwards runs for four to the Ravens 38; 1st & 10…
11:47- Edwards runs for six; 2nd & 4…
11:03- Gain of one, good pursuit by the front seven; 3rd & 3…
10:20- Jones with a great forceout of Jackson to make it 4th & 1, which they will likely go for…here we go.

Ep 101: Conference Championship Sunday - Preview, Prop Bets, and Predictions
by Full Press Coverage on January 29, 2023 at 11:25 am
9:40- BAD SNAP, PATRIOTS GET THE STOP!! The offense will take over at the Ravens 38 after the bad direct snap to Mark Ingram, who had to just simply jump on the ball so the Patriots didn’t scoop and score. 1st & 10, Patriots…
9:34- Harris rips off another 15-yard run; keep feeding him. 1st & 10, Patriots…
9:06- Harris for three; 2nd & 7…
8:28- Johnson makes the catch for the 1st down, and there are yards tacked on for a late hit; 1st & Goal…
8:02- Harris runs for five; 2nd & Goal…timeout, Patriots. Give. It. To. Harris.
7:10- Newton on the draw; not a great play, the Ravens didn’t fall for the four-wide; 3rd & Goal…
6:27- Incomplete to Meyers and the Patriots will attempt the field goal in a downpour. That should have been a touchdown. Folk connected on the field goal to extend the Patriots lead to 13. Patriots 23, Ravens 10
6:14- Nick Boyle just appeared to get hurt badly. It wasn’t intentional, but it looked like a bad knee injury on the hit. I hate seeing injuries, it doesn’t matter who or when. Damn. He gained about five on the catch before the violent tackle. 2nd & 5, there will be a few minutes until this resumes.
6:06- Jackson gains 15 on the catch; 1st & 10…
5:32- Nothing on that run, a good read by New England. 2nd & 9…
4:54- Andrews makes a nice catch for the first down at the Patriots 40, BUT the Ravens were called for illegal formation for not having enough men on the LOS. 2nd & 14, big mistake right there…and the Patriots foolishly jump offside. That is a dumb rookie mistake by Uche; 2nd & 9…
4:22- Snead heard footsteps and dropped the ball; 3rd & 9…
4:10- Catch for 8, 4th & 1, timeout, Patriots.
3:49- Edwards for 12 and a first down. The Patriots might have had a case on that “interception”. 1st & 10…
3:00- Another ad snap, Jackson runs for no gain; 2nd & 10…
2:24- Andrews gains six, Dugger with another BIG hit. 3rd & 4…
1:35- Jackson runs for six before Phillips upends him; 1st & 10…
:53- Dugger with another nice tackle; 2nd & 5…
:09- Touchdown, Ravens. Snead with the 18-yard touchdown catch on a drive where the Patriots had plenty of chances to get stops. The Ravens desperately needed that, and they got it. Patriots 23, Ravens 17
:03- Loss of two to end the quarter on a play that looked shaky from the start. Good quarter for New England, but they need to replicate that in the 4th if they expect to win this game. They need to put together some form of scoring drive right now. Patriots 23, Ravens 17
FOURTH QUARTER
15:00- Newton for nothing; 3rd & 12…
14:15- Meyers for six on a terrible three and out; that was bad. 4th & 6…
13:14- Baltimore will take over at their own 14. The Patriots defense needs to step up and get a stop on this series. 1st & 10, Ravens…
13:09- Ingram loses one on the run; 2nd & 11…
12:21- Good pressure forces a high throw that Snead couldn’t catch; 3rd & 11…
12:14- Gain of nine; 4th & 2 and the Raven should and will (unless they fake) punt…
11:25- Good punt gets worse on the hold; the offense takes over at their own five. A long drive with any type of score here could end this game. Let’s see if Newton and Co. have what it takes to close out a good team. Patriots 23, Ravens 17
11:17- Hold is declined, no gain, Harris got hurt. 2nd & 10…
10:57- Burkhead rips it off for nine; 3rd & 1…
10:57- Newton gets stuffed but they might give him the spot. If he didn’t get it, they might have to go for it because if they keep possession it would be huge. First down according to the measurement. Crazy good spot. 1st & 10…
9:53- No gain by Burkhead; they are going to have to throw a little to end this thing. 2nd & 10…
9:08- Johnson picks up 15 on the ugly play by him AND Newton. Again, they made it work. 1st & 10…
8:38- Harris leveled, no gain; 2nd & 10…
8:00- Newton throws it away, and now they are forced to throw on 3rd & 10. Look for something to Meyers…
7:57- Play action pass to Burkhead that wasn’t even close to the sticks (delayed screen) that goes nowhere. It doesn’t make sense to not throw it down the field a little. Now the Ravens have all day to put together a drive. 1st & 10, Baltimore…
7:04- Edwards for seven on 1st down; 2nd & 3…
6:44- Andrews with the drop; 3rd & 3…
6:28- Give me a break. The Patriots need to make that tackle. Jackson for five, 1st & 10…
5:51- Huge fumble and the Ravens loses 16 yards on the play; 2nd & 26…
5:12- Andrews gains 11; 3rd & 15…
4:27- D.McCourty drops the pick, but it is pouring out. 4th & 15, Ravens will punt and hope their defense can get a stop. Out comes Newton and the Patriots offense to try and close this one out. 1st & 10…
4:15- Harris loses two on the toss left, which probably wasn’t the best play. 2nd & 12…
3:35- Burkhead runs for eight tough yards; 3rd & 4, and this is a huge play.
3:31- Newton throws it 100 mph to Meyers for the first down. Seriously, he FIRED it at him for the 1st. Great play. 1st & 10…
2:40- Newton runs for eight and takes an elbow to the head at the end of the play, but they might not call it. 2nd & 2, and the Patriots can take this down to the two-minute warning. Two first downs end this game. Offsides, 1st down.
2:36- Harris runs for one, and the Ravens take their final timeout. 2nd & 9…
2:31- Burkhead runs for two, and we are headed to the two-minute warning. 3rd & 7, first down wins the game…
2:00- QB sweep right? Weird giveup play or a missed assignment and the Patriots are forced to punt. The Ravens will have just over one minute to drive 83 yards and score to win. Here we go.
1:05-Jackson runs for 15, but the Ravens are called for holding. Back it up, 1st & 20 from their own eight…it’s pouring…
:44- Wow, downpours…Lamar runs for 20 and the Patriots are just trying to not give up a big play. 3rd & 7…
:30- Dugger with a great play; 4th & 6…
:02- Incomplete, and that will do it!! The Patriots take a knee and they win a HUGE game to not only save their season but prove they can beat a quality opponent within their conference. I will admit, I thought they were done too, but after a win like this, you can’t help but think they could battle for a wildcard spot, especially after the league voted to add another playoff team. Great win!
FINAL SCORE: NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS 23, BALTIMORE RAVENS 17
Next Sunday the Patriots travel to Houston to take on the Texans in a 1 pm Sunday showdown. Be sure to join us as we do what we do- provide live reactions with a little flare to it. This is an exciting team to watch in 2020 due to the changes in New England, and it appears they are starting to figure out how to win without #12 under center. See you all next week!
