Ten weeks of KHL hockey have been played and the league has determined the best players of the week.
The best goalie – Dominik Furch (Dinamo Minsk) who helped the Minsk team earn victories in all three games that they played. The Czech goalie recorded his first shutout of the season against Sibir Novosibirsk. During the week he faced 98 shots turning away 97.96% of them which ranked him at the top of the list in the category. The Belorussian team currently holds the fourth position in the Western Conference.
The best defenseman – Viktor Antipin (SKA St.Petersburg). Former Buffalo Sabre earned four assists helping his team grab three victories. Antipin ended up with a positive rating of +5 while recording five shots on goal and blocking five opposing shots. SKA currently sit in second place in the West.
The best forward – Libor Hudacek (Neftehimik Nizhnekamsk). He scored four goals in four games and earned three assists. He scored two against Kunlun Red Star, one of those counted as the game-winning goal. Neftehimik is currently eleventh in the Eastern Conference.
The best rookie – Alexei Protas (Dinamo Minsk). Three victories in three games and three points for the youngster. Protas averaged 12 minutes and 10 seconds of ice time, laid one hit, and blocked one opposing shot.
