Seasons Greetings, Patriots Nation.
Like many of you reading this, I am suffering with disappointment and frustration at the result of the Patriots season.
For starters, I was rather unenthusiastic at the choice of quarterback. Although there is a chance I may have been right to not be ‘in’ on Cam Newton, I truly cannot help but like him. I still hold out hope that he works out for the Patriots. However, it is not looking too likely. Even so, I still really like the guy!
Though this season might be considered a bit of a bust, there still might be some positives onto which we may hold. We were able to watch our team play, even if not so well. Still, it was good to have football in our lives when we might have needed it most. We have been able to witness another season under the beloved Coach Bill, and maybe even find some stars of the future.
I do not need to tell any of you that it has been a trying and turbulent year. However, many of us may have only gotten through it because we had our team to both watch and cheer for.
The future is full of possibilities…from hoping your favorite player remains in New England, to wishing that your favorite prospect is chosen in the upcoming draft.
I know you will not give up on the Patriots. You are die hard fans, and the Patriots will win again!
Well folks, this is the last from me this year. I’d like to take the opportunity to thank YOU the readers for all your fabulous support in my rookie year as a writer for Full Press Coverage; especially to the fellow Patriots fans who have supported, encouraged and helped me learn more about the team, and the sport I adore.
A very special thank you to Mike D’Abate and Ian Glendon for taking a chance on me and giving me this wonderful opportunity. I must give lots of appreciation to my co-hosts on ‘Keys to the Game’ editions of One Patriots Place, Steve Balestrieri and Thomas Murphy for accepting me, including me and for all the laughs. Thank you to Patriots Fourth and Two’s Russ Goldman and Derek Havens for dubbing me their UK Correspondent, and finally to John Rooke for his support.
And so everyone I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and of course health, wealth and happiness for the New Year. And, as ever…. Go Pats!
