2021 Packers Prospect Profile: Teven Jenkins
Name: Teven Jenkins
Position: OT
School: Oklahoma State
Height: 6’6″
Weight: 320 lbs
Power
Teven Jenkins’ game is blunt force and power. With his gifted size to play offensive line, he comes with natural anchor ability and hand pop to hold his own. Some guys know how to throw their weight around and that’s Jenkins. Rarely do defenders get into his body and walk him back. Jenkins squats into his set quickly and walls off pass-rushers. With his nasty hands, he strikes and jolts opponents to gain leverage. When he gets his hands on a player he’s generating movement and getting a win.
Competitive Toughness / Mentality
This might be the best trait Jenkins brings to the table. He is an absolute enforcer that enjoys a fight. Jenkins has stated that his objective on every play is to put opponents into the ground. Many times he accomplishes just that. This man plays to the whistle for 60 minutes and will not be bullied. He is tailor-made for trench warfare and every offensive line coach wants this attitude in their locker room. Many guys talk the game, Jenkins backs it up.
Football IQ / Technique
Jenkins isn’t just a bruiser, he is also smart with solid technique. Tasked to play both tackle positions and some guard, Jenkins transitioned flawlessly. He understands leverage and angles to control defenders. It’s really impressive how he sets, resets, and locks-and-seals off opponents. With quick feet and no false steps, Jenkins gets into position and then lets the nasty kick in.
Athleticism
Nobody is going to mistake Jenkins for any elite athlete. Out of the 2021 offensive line prospects, Jenkins wouldn’t be near the top in the 40-yard dash, or show a huge explosion in the jumps. He is, however, athletic enough. With his good footwork, he shows off short-area quickness which is essential for offensive tackles. Pair that with his football IQ and I have no concern with Jenkins being athletic enough.

Plug and Play
There is no question that Jenkins can step in and start right away. Rookies will always struggle but he is as ready as they come. Plug him in at right tackle and he will compete and hold his own. His mental fortitude and physical attributes paired with his mean streak gives a strong base with room to turn into a top-end starter down the road. He will only improve with more snaps.
Why Jenkins for the Packers?
If a team is looking for their offensive tackles to jump out of the gym and show elite athletic ability, Jenkins is not your guy. If a team is looking for a mentally tough, technique-savvy bruiser that looks for a dark alley street fight. Jenkins fits that bill. Jenkins has all the makings of a long-term right tackle with swing tackle capabilities if needed.
Green Bay is looking for a long-term answer on the right side. This OL has been rock solid for a long time but with David Bakhtiari‘s availability in question for week 1, a plug-and-play guy and future staple is needed. Jenkins plays with a demeanor Packers fans will fall in love with. A gritty hard-nosed player that also has the technical tools keeps Aaron Rodgers clean for the stretch run of his career.
