Tom Brady’s Knee Rehab Is Progressing Well

We are under 10 days away from what should be a fun draft weekend for the Bucs. For the first time in, well, maybe forever, the Bucs are going into the draft with no dire need at any position as they returned all 22 starters who helped them win Super Bowl LV.

Shortly after winning the Super Bowl and after a day in the Bay celebrating it, Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady underwent a minor procedure on his knee and according to the 43-year-old, his rehab is going well.

“It’s good, it’s good. It’s good progress,” Brady said at Bruce Arians Family Foundation Gala in Tampa. “It’s rehab. None of that is fun, but looking forward to getting back to real training and stuff, which is hopefully here pretty soon. … I’m cool with it. It’s just part of what you deal with. Things come up. You deal with them the best way you can, with the best opportunity to improve. I’m definitely feeling a lot better than I did six or seven weeks ago.”

Brady added that he hopes to be ready for the start of minicamp in June and still hopes to participate in offseason workouts similar to the ones he held last season at the start of the pandemic.

Brady signed an extension with the Buccaneers which will bring him through age 45. After that remains a mystery as Brady has expressed interest in playing as long as he can still play at a high level. Based on his performance last year, he need not worry about a diminishing skill set any time soon.
