The Main Event I: Women’s Money in the Bank
Alexa Bliss was… creepy during the Women’s Money in the Bank match. Bliss tried to force pull the briefcase down early and didn’t move a muscle during everyone else’s entrances. She hypnotized Zelina at the top of the ladder and made her move down the ladder. Does Bliss have the power to entrance people? Okay.

There was lots of shine for everyone early on. Everyone was able to get some spots in, and the crowd was particularly behind Liv & Naomi. Naomi even had a great powerbomb spot in the corner:

Nikki A.S.H. had a great spot, doing a dive off a ladder set up outside the ring while everyone was brawling. She gets closer and closer to being a full-fledged superhero every day.

After burying Bliss under ladders, all seven remaining competitors climbed on three set up ladders in the ring to brawl. Many were expecting a big, dramatic spot. Instead, Nikki A.S.H. made a brilliant move. As the last one to enter the fray, Nikki climbed over everyone and suddenly grabbed the briefcase. She’ll be Ms. Money in the Bank, and seems earmarked for a Women’s Championship run somewhere down the line. Maybe not the best ending, but definitely a pleasant surprise.
She just snuck up on EVERYONE and grabbed that contract.

The Main Event II: Men’s Money in the Bank
Peacock TV had some serious issues to start the Money in the Bank match, but we got there shortly after the start of the match. We then witnessed some intense action. Look at Johnny Drip-Drip go:

The early parts of the match were dominated by the duo of John Morrison & Seth Rollins. They took out most of the other competitors before Rollins inevitably turned on Morrison. He was then met with an RKO by Riddle. Bro!
Next we need to see @SuperKingofBros counter a Stomp into an RKO.

Ricochet even got a great spot to shine. You can knock him off a ladder, but he’s going to fall with style and grace.

Nakamura almost had the briefcase but was interrupted by Morrison and the drip stick. Owens stopped Morrison, Nakamura, and Ricochet from getting the briefcase with Stunners and Pop-up Powerbombs. He then got deposited to the outside through a ladder, courtesy of a Rollins powerbomb. Rollins was stopped by a Big Ending off the ladder by Big E! That gave him the opening to get a huge win, and now Big E is ready to be Mr. Money in the Bank.

The Main Event III: Reigns vs Edge:
Roman Reigns finally went one on one with Edge and dominated from the jump. Edge started to turn the tables and hit an Edgecution for a two count. Reigns attempted a Spear on the outside and missed, while Edge returned the favor and nailed it.

After a ref bump, Reigns went to do a crossface with a metal bar. Edge locked it in instead, and when the Usos tried to interfere they were run off by the Mysterios. Seth Rollins interfered next, superkicking Edge in the head. Edge managed to recover and Spear Reigns, but he kicked out before the new referee could finish the three count. Rollins would run interference once more, and a Reigns spear would put Edge down. Acknowledge him!

After the match, Rollins and Edge would continue to brawl out of the arena. After Reigns told us to acknowledge him, we had a massive return: John Cena is back and he’s here to step up to Roman Reigns. A simple “you can’t see me” taunt was all it took. This is going to be an amazing Summerslam main event.

The Undercard:
Bobby Lashley absolutely steamrolled Kofi Kingston. Kingston put up a better fight than when he lost his WWE Championship to Brock Lesnar, but it was still a squash. Lashley hit him with three Dominators and a Hurt Lock until Kingston was passed out. Is Goldberg next for Lashley? With a dominant performance like that, it sure looks that way.
Once, twice … three times a DOMINATOR.#MITB #WWEChampionship @fightbobby pic.twitter.com/WPANVz2pAB

The Raw Women’s Championship was a hard-fought match between Charlotte and Rhea Ripley. Fans chanted “We Want Becky” in the beginning, signaling that most felt done with this feud. Charlotte was also done with the crowd, flipping them off early on.

Charlotte and Ripley won them back with a phenomenal match. Both women went deep into their bag of tricks and got the crowd back on their side. Charlotte capitalized on a stunned Ripley and put Ripley’s leg in the steel steps. Some kicks there were followed by a deep-bridging Figure Eight, and Charlotte is now the Raw Women’ Champion once again. On any other card, this would’ve been match of the night.
The Viking Raiders are big, but Omos is gigantic. Omos and A.J. Styles managed to fend off the Viking Raiders and retained their tag team titles. At one point Omos tossed Styles out of the ring for a clean hurricanrana. Remember: Styles is 44 years young.

Brotherly love is apparently stronger than the bond of father and son. At least that was the case in our pre-show match. Jimmy rolled up Rey with some help from Jimmy to get the Uso’s their seventh tag team championship reign. KeepUpWithKayfabe put into words the thoughts of some after seeing Jimmy Uso (who has recently been arrested for a fourth DUI) win a championship instead of being instructed to get help:
Not only did WWE not even issue a statement condemning Jimmy getting his 4th DUI with the company he was allowed to pin Rey Mysterio to win the tag championships again.
Pretty on brand.
Miss me with the “He’s in an important story” bullshit.
He’s being publicly rewarded. #MITB

Grade: A
This show, top to bottom, was awesome. John Cena returned, so how can you complain? Reigns versus Edge was a fitting finale to their feud, with Rollins set up as the next feud for Edge. Lashley put in a championship performance against Kofi Kingston. Ripley & Charlotte tore the house down. Both Money in the Bank matches were good, with the Men’s being one of the most entertaining in recent history. Aside from a technical Peacock glitch, this was a perfect show.
