Bills, Chiefs Open As Early Super Bowl LVII Favorites

The confetti is still settling from the Rams Super Bowl LVI victory this past Sunday, however, that doesn’t mean it is not too early to look ahead to the big game in Arizona in February of 2023.

According to BetUS, the early favorites to win next year’s Super Bowl both reside in the AFC, and neither one is from Cincinnati. Not surprisingly, it is the Chiefs and Bills who have opened as the favorites at +650. It is not a coincidence that they are the betting favorite at this point as they are led by arguably the two best quarterbacks in the conference.

Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen squared off in a thrilling divisional-round matchup this season that saw the Chiefs come out as victorious and advance to the AFC Championship Game. Of course, the Chiefs did not make it any further but there is no reason to believe neither team will not be back in this situation a year from now.

The reigning Super Bowl champion Rams have the third-best odds at +1000 while the reigning AFC Champion Bengals are tied with the 49ers at +1400. In addition, Dak Prescott and the Cowboys find themselves at +1100 as they prepare to enter the second season under head coach Mike McCarthy.

With the retirement of Tom Brady, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2200) are well on outside the top contender list and it could get worst unless Brady decides to not retire. In Green Bay, the uncertainty around Aaron Rodgers future have them with just the seventh-best odds (+1600) despite earning the top seed in the NFC the last two seasons.
