Another day, another round of NFL rumors on Full Press Coverage, and this time, we take another look at the market for safety Tyrann Mathieu, the potential trade of cornerback James Bradberry, and safety Jabrill Peppers visit with the New England Patriots.

S Tyrann Mathieu – Dolphins, Steelers OUT; Raiders Still An Option

Rumor: In addition to the Miami Dolphins reportedly being out of the race for Tyrann Mathieu, so are the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

At this rate, it seems as though the only team that has known interest in the former Chief is the Las Vegas Raiders. According to Dulac, the Steelers are simply not in a financial position to afford Mathieu who is seeking a healthy contract. However, despite their own financial obstacles, the Raiders would make sense for a team that has retooled under first-year coach, Josh McDaniels. In the suddenly wide open AFC West, the Raiders may be motivated to do what it takes to bring in the All-Pro safety, even with Derek Carr’s contract extension looming.

New York Giants – CB James Bradberry

Rumor: The New York Giants are expected to trade CB James Bradberry and the Colts, Chiefs, and Texans are the three teams to watch, per Pat Leonard.

There has been plenty of smoke surrounding a trade of Giants cornerback James Bradberry and it seems to be coming to a head. In a previous edition of NFL rumors on Full Press Coverage, the Chiefs had been mentioned as the favorite to land the talented corner as they continue to retool their team following the departure of Tyrann Mathieu and the trade of wide receiver, Tyreek Hill. Continuing to bulk up the defense seems like the right course of action for the Chiefs who have already made some moves offensively. For the Colts, they find themselves right in the mix in the AFC following the acquisition of quarterback Matt Ryan, so, much like the Chiefs, bulking up the defense seems like the right move for the Colts.

Free Agent S Jabrill Peppers

Rumor: The New England Patriots are hosting former Giants and Browns safety Jabrill Peppers, per Field Yates.

One of the pieces in the Odell Beckham Jr. trade TO the Browns, safety Jabrill Peppers now finds himself on the open market and looks like he could find a fit with his former head coach, Joe Judge, in New England. Peppers is a versatile safety, a talent very coveted by Bill Belichick and the Patriots. Judge, according to Yates, was a big supporter of Peppers in New York and a signing would make a lot of sense for both parties.
