PickThe NFL Draft is under a week away as fans are still reeling from an active offseason to this point.
Unlike in years past, a quarterback is unlikely to be taken first overall and there is no real clear favorite among the few that could go in the first round. That hasn’t stopped quarterbacks from grabbing the attention of draft week as the looming Jimmy Garoppolo and Baker Mayfield situation should make for an intriguing weekend of speculation. Will one or both get traded in the coming days?
We take a look at that and several other prop bets, courtesy of our friends at PickUp, as we get closer and closer to the NFL Draft.

Will Jimmy G or Baker Mayfield get traded during the NFL Draft?
Full Press Raiders Managing Editor – Terrance Biggs
In assessing the likelihood of Baker Mayfield or Jimmy Garoppolo winding up somewhere else via trade seems interesting. While both possess immediate starter-quality ability, they differ in skillset and trade attractiveness. First, Mayfield’s feet or legs let him down in Cleveland. In actuality, his lack of scanning through progression and his petulant behavior always appeared to be his undoing. The former first overall pick should be settling into his second contract on the shores of Lake Erie. Yet, years of organizational coddling finally took their toll on his career and his trade value, which ultimately makes him the quarterback on his way out of town. Plus, if you add the massive contract handed out to Deshaun Watson, the Browns made their decision quickly and will send Mayfield packing sooner than his California contemporary.
Meanwhile, the San Francisco 49ers feature a different quarterback problem. Instead of an unhappy player, supplanted by a newly-arrived superstar, their problem was created internally. San Francisco traded two first-round picks to jump up and grab Trey Lance. Apparently, Kyle Shanahan saw enough. In his defense, Garoppolo does win games, as his 33-14 regular season and 4-2 postseason records attest. Yet, looking into his numbers deeper, his underwater touchdown-to-interception ratio stands out. Garoppolo, to the best of his ability, attempted to accomplish all the team asked him to do. Now, the franchise wants Trey Lance to grab the reins and take control of the offense. Garoppolo, to a player, appears to be the better teammate and leader. While his stock sits high currently, the 49ers do not need to accept any flimsy offer thrown at them. They know Garoppolo’s worth and can be picky. On the other hand, the Browns want to off-load Baker Mayfield in a hurry. Even in the harried world of trades, character does play a role.

How many quarterbacks will be taken during the first round of the NFL Draft?
Full Press Commanders Managing Editor – George Carmi
The 2022 NFL draft is poised to be one of the most unpredictable yet. Without a consensus number one pick, it’s hard to pinpoint how many QBs will go in the first round.
But if I had to wager, I’d put my money down on three QBs coming off the board in round one. Kenny Pickett, Malik Willis, and Ridder. Despite not having the high ceiling of previous years, NFL teams will still reach for these passers due to need, and the benefits of a fifth-year option.

Will a team trade into the Top 10?

There has been an abundance of trade activity leading up to the NFL Draft but that doesn’t mean it will be a quiet weekend in Las Vegas. Jacksonville holds the first overall pick for the second consecutive season and after landing Trevor Lawrence a year ago, they are most certainly out of the quarterback market. Fortunately for them, last year was the year to need a quarterback and have the first pick. This year, the Jaguars can focus on building around Lawrence or perhaps beefing up the defense so they are likely staying pat with the first pick. So, will there be a team to make that plunge?
There doesn’t seem to be that “IT” player for a team out there that would justify moving up drastically. However, teams like the Ravens (14th) and Saints (16th) could find a reason to move up a few spots to grab the player they want. However, it seems unlikely we will get a draft-altering deal this time around.
Which team will make the most trades during the NFL Draft?

Two of these teams are arguably entering rebuild or reset stages. Finding a new franchise quarterback may be near for both Carolina and Atlanta. Yet, neither team is ready to compete right now and could look to add future selections, rather than going all in 2022.
The Titans are interesting because they only have two picks in the top 130 this year. They are also looking to get over the hump and go from a good to a great team. Overall, Tennessee could be a wild card for drafting a QB, while still maneuvering around the draft board a fair amount.
