Before the 2022 NFL Draft arrives, Full Press Coverage presents this Green Bay Packers Mock Draft, which includes a couple of trades.
It’s almost that time. The 2022 NFL Draft is less than a week away. Teams are performing finishing touches on their big boards in order to land the right prospects. Here at Full Press Packers, we are doing the same with a team Mock Draft before the real thing. In this mock, Jesse Hall followed the Green Bay Packers’ historical draft night playbook and hit some interesting prospects of personal interest. The Packers really value elite athletes in guys that hit their physical thresholds. There are always outliers but Green Bay doesn’t stray too far from the top Relative Athletic Scores. Below is the 2022 FPC Packers Mock Draft
Trade Alert!
Packers trade away picks 1-22 and 3-92
Seahawks trade away picks 2-40 and 2-41
Sorry Packer Nation but hear me out. Green Bay’s board could have a group of players here that they feel will be available at 28. They also could be in no man’s land with some of their top targets already gone. In comes the Seahawks looking to rebuild a roster and potentially looking for their future quarterback (for instance Desmond Ridder). The trade slightly favors the Packers on the trade chart but that’s the cost of doing business in order to acquire a first-round pick.
Round 1, Pick 28: WR George Pickens, Georgia (6’3″ 200 pounds)
The Packers still get their guy. This dawg has been slept on but has the highest ceiling of any wide receiver in the draft. He’s got the size, the speed, and the ball skills to be a true alpha wide receiver. Pickens plays with a pro’s mentality that should enable him to produce right away. He’s had some injuries in the past, but he also dominated the SEC as a true freshman. Don’t be surprised if Pickens is being talked about among the elite receivers in a few seasons.
Round 2, Pick 40: DT Travis Jones, Connecticut (6’5″ 333 pounds)
Big men that are elite athletes don’t grow on trees. With all the talk of the Georgia biggs, Jones has gotten lost in the mix. However, his 9.39 RAS score is mind-blowing. Jones has long arms and an explosive first step to live in opponent’s backfields. Alongside the defensive line talent already established in Green Bay, Jones could quickly become a dominant force.
Round 2, Pick 41: S Jaquan Brisker, Penn State (6’1″ 204 pounds)
Such a Packers pick here. Smart, instinctive, a team player, and a freak athlete. Truly the complete package. Brisker leads by example and fits right in right away with this secondary. Initially, he would be used as a third safety. However, Brisker could also replace one of the current starters in the near future. Green Bay will be taking one of the top safeties and Brisker becomes a fan favorite sooner rather than later.

by Full Press Coverage on February 5, 2023 at 3:49 pm
Round 2, Pick 53: EDGE Arnold Ebiketie, Penn State (6’3″ 253 pounds)
Double-dipping from the Nittany Lion defense, the Packers grab a souped-up pass rusher. Ebiketie is a tad short but has 34-inch arms and moves like a man 50 pounds lighter. He is so explosive and fluid off the edge that opposing tackles will struggle with him on passing downs. Ebiketie brings much-needed depth to the edge rush group.
Round 2, Pick 59: WR Alec Pierce, Cincinnati (6’3″ 213 pounds)
Staying true to adding elite athletes and Pierce is just that. He averaged over 17 yards per catch during his college career. Pierce can opperate both in the slot and outside. His route running is good and his balls skills are better while his size presents a mismatch for opposing secondaries. Aaron Rodgers would love feeding jump balls to Pierce in the end zone.
Trade Alert!
Ravens trade away pick 4-110
Packers trade away picks 4-132 and 4-140
Round 4, Pick 110: OT Zach Tom, Wake Forrest (6’5″ 295 pounds)
Tom needs to add a little strength for the next level but this is a day three Green Bay special. The Packers are famous for finding offensive line talent and Tom could be the next in that tradition. Both an athlete and technician, he has a lot of experience under his belt. Just a safe pick on a lunch pail prospect.
Round 5, Pick 171: OL Cade Mays, Tennessee (6’6″ 325 pounds)
Mays is a five-star recruit that started his career at Georgia before going to Tennessee. He has been a starter for all four years and played at all five offensive line positions. Mays is powerful with some nasty to his game. Add to that a good athletic scoring and he could be another nice find for the o-line.

Round 7, Pick 228: WR Isaiah Weston, Northern Iowa (6’3″ 213 pounds)
I know Packers fans love Christian Watson, and for good reason, but why not Isaiah Weston? They are the same size with Weston actually having a higher RAS score at a perfect 10. Watson had an awful drop rate while Weston possesses plucky hands with no issues. Turn on the highlight reel and fall in love with this player. Weston would also become the new gunner like yesterday.
Round 7, Pick 249: CB Isaac Taylor-Stuart, USC (6’2″ 200 pounds)
A perimeter cornerback that’s more athlete than football player at this point. Taylor-Stuart has the size and speed combination to try and develop long-term. But as for now, he a long-term project that some team may take a late-round flier on.
Round 7, Pick 258: RB/KR Donovan Knight, NC State (5’11” 210 pounds)
Knight was the workhorse for the Wolfpack over his career. He has nice size with some big playability. Knight also is a core special teams player. Sign me up!
