Aaron Rodgers Doesn’t Plan On Playing Until 45

Unlike Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has no plans to play until age 45.

Rodgers, at age 38, is the second oldest quarterback in the league and coming off back-to-back league MVP awards but when he was asked about the prospect of playing that long he was very definitive.

“No, I don’t”, said Rodgers. “But Happy Birthday, Tom”.

Now, it’s not surprising to learn Rodgers doesn’t plan on playing for another seven years as it isn’t quite the norm, despite what Brady has accomplished. When the Buccaneers kick off the 2022 season, Brady will become the oldest quarterback to start a game and it wouldn’t surprise many if Brady decides that he isn’t finished after this season. Rodgers, even recently, has flirted with the idea of retirement.

However, the idea of getting a second Super Bowl win before retirement is likely enticing to the four-time league MVP who hasn’t been back to the Super Bowl since 2010, despite multiple opportunities to do so.

Needless to say, if he sticks to not playing until 45, Rodgers is running out of time.
