Just like that, we are officially two weeks through the 2022 NFL season.
Currently, there are six teams undefeated at 2-0 whereas seven teams are winless to this point. Of course, it is a long season, however, starting 2-0 generally gives a team a leg up when it comes to making the playoffs.
The current crop of perfect teams has some of the usual suspects in the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Buffalo Bills. However, there are several surprises among the undefeated.
Who is the best among them all? We rank them right now.

6. New York Giants (2-0)
Very easily the most surprising team of the group, new head coach Brian Daboll has made an immediate impact on the Giants who, last week, started a season 1-0 for the first time since 2016. There are still uncertainties with Daniel Jones and the expectations for this team are likely not Super Bowl bound just yet but this is a good sign for a franchise that has been void of success since two surprising Super Bowl wins over the Patriots more than a decade ago.
5. Miami Dolphins (2-0)
The Miami Dolphins had a solid opening-week win over the New England Patriots last week, however, we got a glimpse into the real potential of what the Dolphins could be under new head coach, Mike McDaniel. Trailing by 21 in the fourth quarter, quarterback Tua Tagovoiloa tossed four of his career-high six touchdown passes in a ferocious comeback for the ages against the Baltimore Ravens. Tyreek Hill caught his first two touchdowns as a Dolphin, racking up 190 yards on 11 receptions in the process. In addition, Jaylen Waddle added a pair of touchdowns of his own to go along with 11 receptions for 171 yards. If this is the potential for the Dolphins, they may be among the league’s undefeated for quite awhile.

4. Philadelphia Eagles (2-0)
The Eagles won a wild shootout against the league’s second-highest scoring team in week one, the Lions. Yes, you read that correctly. Last night on Monday Night Football, emerging star Jalen Hurts put together an impressive wire-to-wire victory over Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings. With the Cowboys missing Dak Prescott for at least another couple of weeks, this would be a great opportunity for the young and very talented Eagles to gain some space in the NFC East. That is assuming the Giants are much more of a surprise than what we already think they are.
3. Kansas City Chiefs (2-0)
The Chiefs’ offense looked like what we have come accustomed to over the Patrick Mahomes era in their week one blowout win over the Cardinals. However, they looked a tad less “well-oiled machine” in a tight win over the Los Angeles Chargers and Justin Herbert last Thursday. In fact, the Chiefs needed a 99-yard pick-six late in the game to turn the tide in their favor. With that said, it doesn’t matter how you win in the NFL as long as you do and the Chiefs have continued to win. There will be some growing pains without Tyreek Hill but if they continue to rack up W’s, it won’t matter in the long run.
2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0)
Of the remaining undefeated teams, the Buccaneers have scored the fewest points which is surprising considering they are being led by quarterback, Tom Brady. However, there is a reason for that… health. The Buccaneers are already on their third left tackle of the season after losing Ryan Jensen for the foreseeable future. In addition, by the time the Bucs scored their first touchdown against the Saints, Breshad Perriman was their top wide receiver. If they can regain their health, the Bucs’ offense will very easily be among the league’s elite. However, the story through the first two weeks is the team’s defense which has allowed just 13 points in two weeks. That includes a garbage-time touchdown against the Saints late on Sunday. Needless to say, when the offense settles, they will be right up there with this week’s top undefeated team.
1. Buffalo Bills (2-0)
The Bills have a league-best +55 point differential through two games. The next closest teams are the Chiefs and Buccaneers at +26. Needless to say, the Bills and quarterback Josh Allen have gotten off to a ferocious start, tossing eight touchdown passes through the first two weeks. In addition, they have done this against the Rams, last year’s Super Bowl Champion, and the Titans who were the AFC’s top seed a season ago. The Bills, very easily, look like the most complete team so far.
