The Kansas City Chiefs will be looking for their third consecutive victory this Sunday. As teams begin to separate themselves, Kansas City fans can once again be extremely confident in the Chiefs as the second half of the season gets going. Before the Chiefs take on the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, fans can turn their attention to the college football slate. We will now present this week’s FPC Chiefs draft prospect watchlist, looking for players to watch.
It is never too early to think about possible draft prospects for next spring. With some positions being lighter on long-term contracts and potential needs, Kansas City will have eyes on certain spots. Each weekend, we will be listing some prospects to keep in mind as possible fits for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2023 NFL Draft. Be on the lookout for different prospect names each and every week. Here are five players for Chiefs fans to monitor in Week 11 of college football. Let’s kick it off.
OT Javon Foster, Missouri
Opponent: Tennessee
Kickoff: Saturday, November 12 at Noon ET on CBS
Javon Foster is the starting left tackle for the Missouri Tigers. The power that this blocker generates can be attributed to his dense and wide frame alone. Meanwhile, Foster is incredibly violent at the point of attack. When watching him on tape, there is a sense of suddenness and temperament that he can invoke on opposing defensive linemen. Foster’s play strength and length will get the attention of NFL teams. On the flip side, there will be a question about his foot quickness, as he finishes out the pre-draft process. Foster and Missouri have a major test against a Tennessee squad that is coming off of their first loss of the season.
WR Kayshon Boutte, LSU
Opponent: Arkansas
Kickoff: Saturday, November 12 at Noon ET on ESPN
It has been a fascinating season for Kayshon Boutte, to say the least. His relationship with the program appeared to be on rocky terms, following a season-opening loss to Florida State. Boutte did not present great body language or effort in that contest. While the tide changed for him since then, there have still been some ups and downs. Boutte is not being used in the same attacking role that he was used to early on in his college career. A lack of variety with his routes and touches this season have put him in an interesting spot.
Because he has been somewhat able to turn it around, Boutte is still one of the more intriguing wide receivers in this draft class. The lack of top-end depth in the wide receiver class is also helping his case. Overall, Boutte offers excellent speed, yards after catch ability, body control and excellent catch comfort in traffic, when he is on.

Ep 161: Lions Dissapoint; NFL MVP; Week 12 Discussion
by Full Press Coverage on November 27, 2023 at 12:12 am
RB Israel Abanikanda, Pitt
Opponent: Virginia
Kickoff: Saturday, November 12 at Noon ET on ACC Network
There are plenty of tremendous players to like in this year’s running back class. One of the sleepers to keep in mind, Israel Abanikanda from Pitt. This Panthers rusher is able to offer a wide-ranging style of traits. His mix of short area burst, lower center of gravity and contact balance allows him to punish defenders both physically and mentally. Abanikanda is an explosive runner, when it comes to his strides. There are times when he makes the smallest of cuts but gains more power off of it. Simply put, Abanikanda can create chunk gains with a hard-nosed mentality, while also being able to rely on fluidity as an athlete. His 2022 season has been filled with plenty of production, to boot.
DT PJ Mustipher, Penn State
Opponent: Maryland
Kickoff: Saturday, November 12 at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX
While players like Chris Jones are on fire, and Khalen Saunders has begun to breakout, depth at the Chiefs defensive tackle position is still needed going forward. Penn State’s PJ Mustipher is a name to monitor from this position group. This defender offers versatility on the defensive line. Mustipher can align head-up over the center as a 0-tech. Or, he can flex out towards the outer shoulder of the guard as a 3-tech. Mustipher is probably most dangerous when shooting gaps and controlling the line of scrimmage. More importantly, Mustipher is a difficult player to displace off of his base. He will be able to muddy up the line of scrimmage and get run stops off of effort alone. Finally, Mustipher is a fine athlete, given the mass that he presents.
EDGE Bralen Trice, Washington
Opponent: Oregon
Kickoff: Saturday, November 12 at 7 p.m. ET on FOX
Bralen Trice has quickly become one of my favorite pass rushers in this draft class, as for names that are not currently slam-dunk first-round picks. This player is a relentless pass rusher that possesses a non-stop motor. Oddly enough, the Chiefs added a similar defensive end in this past spring’s draft, in George Karlaftis. Trice is a bit leaner than Karlaftis. In general, this defender’s pass rush repertoire is quite extensive. He converts speed to power smoothly, often offering a jolt at the point of attack. Trice has mesmerizing closing burst and finishing power against quarterbacks.
