The Odell Beckham Jr. saga is likely coming to an end soon as the free agent wide receiver has been cleared to return to the field after an ACL tear suffered in last year’s Super Bowl.
Beckham Jr. has been the topic of conversation for much of the season but the speculation of where he will sign has ramped up as the receiver is reportedly set to visit with the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, and Dallas Cowboys. Assuming he can catch a flight.
According to Ian Rapoport, Beckham will meet with the Giants this Thursday and Friday and the Cowboys on the following Monday with the Bills in the mix as well. Rapoport went on to add that other teams could potentially get in the mix but, for now, only these three teams have scheduled visits.
Of the three teams set to visit with OBJ, the Bills and the Cowboys offer the best chance for him to win a Super Bowl. Buffalo, at 8-3, has rebounded after a pair of losses and is squarely in the mix in the AFC while Dallas is riding high following a big win over the NFC North-leading Vikings and the Giants this past Thursday.

On the other hand, the Giants, after a 7-1 start, have cooled off a bit but still find themselves in the playoff mix in the NFC, it’s just not as promising as it was just a few weeks ago. Beckham spent the first five years of his career with New York, however, it seems the prospect of winning another Super Bowl is very high on his list. And rightfully so.
That leaves just Dallas and Buffalo.
Buffalo, as we all know, were the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl heading into the season and after a few struggles the last couple of weeks, Josh Allen and the Bills look to have righted the ship a bit and look to be on the level with the Chiefs as the best teams in the AFC. On top of catching passes from Allen, if Beckham lands in Buffalo, he would line up alongside Stefon Diggs. Not that Diggs needs help, quite the opposite, however, we saw the impact Beckham had on a guy like Cooper Kupp last season.

With that said, aside from Von Miller, Beckham’s former teammate with the Rams and now a member of the Bills, the Cowboys have been the most vocal in their pursuit of the superstar and, according to Adam Schefter, one NFL executive believes he will ultimately land in Dallas. The move would give the Cowboys a formidable duo in Beckham Jr. and CeeDee Lamb, assuming OBJ can find his footing quickly as he hits the field for the first time since February.

It would also give quarterback Dak Prescott another weapon after he saw Amari Cooper get traded to the Browns in the offseason after a year in which the Cowboys were the number one scoring offense, averaging 31.2 points per game. This season, the Cowboys are averaging just 25.4 points per game, which is still good for sixth-best in the league. When you consider that Prescott missed several games with an injury, it is actually quite impressive. However, receiver isn’t necessarily a position of need for the Cowboys so signing Beckham would be a luxury for a team that sits at 8-3.
“Odell could help us,” Cowboys owner Jones said after the Cowboys’ win over the Giants on Thursday. “I believe that right now. Now, we’ve got to make it fit and that’s the challenge here.”
If he is healthy, Jones is right.
Prior to his injury, in 14 games with the Browns and the Rams in 2021, Beckham had 44 receptions for 537 yards and five touchdowns. In the postseason, Beckham hauled in 21 passes on 26 targets for 288 yards and two touchdowns before injuring his knee in the Rams’ Super Bowl win over the Bengals.
