There have been a number of veteran wide receivers switch teams this offseason. No surprise, the Las Vegas Raiders add a pair of former Patriots in Jakobi Meyers and Nelson Agholor. Allen Lazard went from Green Bay to the New York Jets. The Carolina Panthers signed both D.J. Chark and Adam Thielen. The Baltimore Ravens just inked Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal.
There are still some intriguing names available to the 32 NFL teams. Will these pros get scooped up before this month’s NFL draft?
5. T.Y. Hilton (Dallas Cowboys)
He was a third-round selection by Indianapolis in 2012, the same year the club made quarterback Andrew Luck the first overall pick in the draft. During his 10 seasons with the franchise, Hilton amassed 631 catches for 9,812 yards and 53 scores and was named to four Pro Bowls. Injuries took their toll the last few years with the club and the Colts chose not to re-sign him.
He eventually signed with Dallas this past season and played in only three games, catching seven passes for 121 yards and zero touchdowns. Could he help a team with a young receiving corps?
4. Olamide Zaccheaus (Atlanta Falcons)
There’s something intriguing about the former undrafted free agent from the University of Virginia. In his first two seasons, he played in a combined 21 games, made two starts and totaled a combined 23 receptions, two for scores.
However, Zaccheaus played in all 17 contests in both 2021 and ’22 and made a total of 21 starts. There were 40 catches for 533 yards and three TDs this past season, this after totaling 31 grabs for 406 yards and three scores in ‘21. Atlanta added wideouts Mack Hollins (Raiders) and Scotty Miller (Buccaneers) this offseason.

3. Julio Jones (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Is he primed to return in 2023? It is a rough stretch for seven-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro Julio Jones. His 10-year run in Atlanta saw him amass 848 receptions for 12,896 yards and 60 scores. In eight postseason games, Jones added 61 catches for 834 yards and six TDs. He missed seven games in his final year with the team and was dealt to the Titans in 2021.
He’s been sidelined for 21 contests the past three seasons, seven with the Buccaneers in 2022. Jones caught seven passes for 74 yards and a score in Tampa’s wild card loss to the Cowboys.
2. Randall Cobb (Green Bay Packers)
Would he indeed wind up in New York if or when quarterback Aaron Rodgers becomes a member of the New York Jets? The 2011 second-round pick of the Green Bay Panthers spent the past two seasons with the franchise that originally drafted him. Over that span, he totaled a combined 62 catches for 792 yards and six scores.
What stands out the most is his career 69.8 reception percentage. The sure-handed pro would be an asset to a club that needs a reliable veteran. His rapport with Rodgers was well documented and it will be interesting if they are reunited.
1. Jarvis Landry (New Orleans Saints)
His first season in the Big Easy didn’t exactly go as planned. Of course, the New Orleans Saints are coming off a very disappointing 7-10 showing, the club’s first losing campaign since 2016. Veteran Jarvis Landry played in a career-low nine games in 2022 and the five-time Pro Bowler managed personal lows in catches (25), receiving yards (272) and touchdown receptions (1).
The 30-year-old performer and former LSU product spent four seasons each with the Dolphins and Browns before signing with the Saints a year ago, and he can still move the chains.
