We have reached the 2023 Stanley Cup Final as the Vegas Golden Knights will take on the Florida Panthers for the right to hoist the Stanley Cup. There will be a first-time champion. In a previous betting article, we laid out how the Golden Knights are the favourite to win the Stanley Cup over Florida.
There have been shifts throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs in terms of both favourites winning the Cup and Conn Smythe Trophy favourites. Through each of the first three rounds, top seeds and players have been knocked out. Some surprises. Some are not so surprising. We started with 16 teams and we are down to two teams.
Leading the Conn Smythe Trophy board are Florida Panthers players Sergei Bobrovsky and Matthew Tkachuk. But they are not the only two on the board. There are some players with very good and winnable odds for the Conn Smythe Trophy.

It feels like this is Bobrovsky’s trophy to lose for the Panthers, if they lift the Stanley Cup. Though Tkachuk has a good argument as well. Tkachuk (+346) factored in on all four game-winning goals in the Eastern Conference Final against Carolina. He scored three game-winning goals including two in overtime and assisted on Sam Reinhart‘s game-winning goal in Game 3. Tkachuk leads the Panthers in points this playoff season.
However, Bobrovsky has been stellar as well this postseason hence the +218 odds. He went through an eight-game stretch of giving up two or fewer goals. Bobrovsky has come up with clutch saves ever since entering the Bruins series in Game 5. He is playing like the 10 million-dollar man. It feels like with each game, Tkachuk and Bobrovsky flip-flop about who wants to be named Playoff MVP.
It also feels like for the first time since 2003, when Jean-Sebastian Giguere won the Conn Smythe Trophy a member of the losing team takes it home. This only applies to the Panthers. If Florida loses and Bobrovsky plays well, he takes it home no matter what

Other Good Plays
Other smart money plays are Jack Eichel at +426 for Vegas. He leads the Golden Knights in points. William Karlsson (+700) leads the Golden Knights with 10 goals including five in elimination game scenarios where Vegas won the series. Jonathan Marchessault at +694 is having a great post-season as well with nine goals. The Golden Knights are so deep it is hard to give it to one player.
Then there is Adin Hill at +1333. If he continues his performance into the Stanley Cup Final and posts similar numbers to the Dallas and Edmonton series, he could walk away with Playoff MVP. Two shutouts in the conference final are nothing to sniff your nose at. Plus he is 7-3 with a 2.07 GAA and a .937 save percentage. Real long shot but a good play.
You don’t want to miss any of the action as the 2023 Stanley Cup Final gets underway on Saturday, June 3rd live from Las Vegas.
