Tyreek Hill: “I Will Break 2,000 Yards Next Year”

Wide receiver Tyreek Hill had a career year in his first season with the Dolphins as he hauled in 119 passes for 1,710 yards and added seven touchdowns. However, he already has his sights set higher for year two in South Florida.

“I will break 2,000 yards next year, bro,” Hill proclaimed via ESPN. “2,000 yards was on my bucket list to get before I leave this league … 2,000 yards and another Super Bowl… we getting that. Believe that.”

It’s a lofty goal as the current record of yards in a season is 1,964 set by Hall of Famer, Calvin Johnson. However, through nine games in 2022, Hill was on pace to break the 2,000-yard mark, so, perhaps, the goal isn’t as lofty as it seems. Especially if you believe Hill when he says he didn’t fully grasp the playbook last year and was relying solely on athleticism.

Of course, Hill’s goals rely heavily on a healthy Tua Tagovailoa under center for the entire season, not just 13 games as was the case in 2022. If Tua does remain healthy, Hill fully believes the team has the necessary tools around him to help him achieve that goal.

“I feel like I’ve got the right tools around me,” Hill added. “I’ve got obviously the most accurate quarterback in the NFL, I’ve got one of the best head coaches in the NFL and also my position coach is a monster also.”

It could be quite an exciting season in Miami is this comes to fruition.
