AP Top 25 College Football Poll: Duke and Colorado Enter The Mix

The 2023 College Football season is underway. We here at Full Press Coverage are ramping up our college football coverage this season. Already, we have given you the betting odds for the 2024 National Champion along with each conference champion.

There were no rankings after Week 0, but after the official start of College Football this past Labor Day Weekend, the first AP Top 25 poll of the season is here. No surprise, Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs remain number one behind starting quarterback Carson Beck.

Outside of that, there were changes inside the Top 10 of the original Preseason AP Poll. Both LSU and Clemson lost, which drops them in the latest poll. Clemson is all the way at 25, knocking Iowa out. Even though Iowa won. Unranked Colorado and Duke have entered the Top 25. Duke at 21 and Colorado at 22.

While we saw teams like Florida State and USC rise in the rankings. And how about Tulane being ranked and getting a big win to start the season to move up in the rankings?

Interesting to see Ohio St. drop a couple of spots even after a win in Indiana. But again, style points matter. Not surprised to see Florida St. in the Top 5. They just beat the number five team in the nation. While Notre Dame is undefeated the AP recognizes they have not played anyone and put them at number 10. Not surprised Tulane only going up a spot. The disrespect AAC gets is truly remarkable.

But again, Colorado and Deion Sanders continue to make headlines. If they beat Nebraska this week, next week’s ranking could be even higher.
