The Holiday Season is one of giving, appreciation and spreading happiness. The Los Angeles Chargers could not agree more.

This year, the Bolts teamed with the United States Marine Corps Reserve for the 28th Annual Chargers “Toys for Tots” toy drive.  Prior to the December 10 game between the Chargers and Washington Redskins, service men and women, along with team representatives, collected new unwrapped toys at white collection boxes located outside of each entrance gate at StubHub Center.  Marines also accepted cash donations at the gates and throughout the tailgating lots.

Earlier this past week, team representatives dispersed the toys to deserving children throughout Los Angeles County. The toys were delivered in time for the holidays through various charitable organizations. The event was a resounding success. It is also one that the Chargers organization hopes to keep going for many years to come.

The Mission of “Toys for Tots”

The primary goal of “Toys for Tots” is to provide a message of hope to less fortunate children. In providing them with a new toy at Christmas, the hope is that a joyous holiday will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

For more information about the toy drive, or for additional locations where toys are being collected throughout the year, visit Chargers.com or log on to the official website of the “Toys for Tots” toy drive, www.toysfortots.org.
