The Colts have re-signed guard Jack Mewhort to a one year, $1.5M deal.
Colts are bringing back G Jack Mewhort on a one-year deal with a base value of $1.5m and another $1.5m in incentives, source says. He had interest from other teams but Indy’s confidence in him and his knee despite his landing on IR the last two years was huge.

Mewhort spent 11 games last year on IR due to a knee injury. Mewhort, 26, is a young, athletic guard, who when healthy, is a very capable player in both run and pass protection. The Colts’ offensive line has been abysmal, and Mewhort’s re-signing will definitely help. Having a player like Mewhort will help Andrew Luck stay off of his back.
The Colts got Mewhort for a bargain, and if he does remain healthy, this will be a steal.
