Trevor Bauer’s last throw in a Cleveland Indians uniform landed over the center field wall in Kansas City. Following the Indians 2-0 loss to the Houston Astros, word leaked out the Bauer is headed to the Cincinnati Reds in a 3-team, 7-player deal also involving the San Diego Padres.
Per sources, the three-team deal looks like this:
Reds get Trevor Bauer (from CLE)
Padres get Taylor Trammell (from CIN)
Indians get Yasiel Puig, Scott Moss (from CIN), Franmil Reyes, Logan Allen, Victor Nova (from SD)— Mark Feinsand (@Feinsand) July 31, 2019
It’s no secret the Indians have been shopping Bauer. The throw on Sunday was the last straw for President Chris Antonetti and the Indians front office.
Trevor Bauer has officially declined to comment to the media standing by to chat with him in the #Indians clubhouse

Cleveland gets three players in the trade, two power hitting outfielders and a relief pitcher. Yasiel Puig is the headliner coming to the Indians from the Reds. Puig’s last moment in a Reds uniform comes during a brawl against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Cleveland also gets outfielder Franmil Reyes and reliever Logan Allen from the Padres. The Indians and Padres have now made a deadline trade involving relief pitchers for a second year in a row. Cleveland acquired Brad Hand and Adam Cimber in July, 2018.
Puig will bring a much needed right handed power bat for the middle of the Indians lineup. Cleveland has not had a legitimate power hitter in the number four spot in the batting order all season long.
Reyes and Puig have combined to hit 49 home runs this season. The Indians outfield has been lacking home run power in 2019. Bauer is 9-8 with a 3.79 earned run average. Bauer has 185 strike outs in 156 and two thirds innings pitched.
Apparently the Indians are also getting a 19-year 3B named Victor Nova in this deal as well.

To complete the deal, Taylor Trammel goes from Cincinnati to San Diego. Cleveland also receives 19-year old third baseman Victor Nova from the Padres and Scott Moss from the Reds.
