I guess I will simply just ask. What do ya wanna talk about now? Weather? Politics? Pop Culture? I got it. Crafts? Boom. Grab some Mod Podge from Hobby Lobby and then chime in. Keep in mind that they are closed on Sundays, so do not procrastinate. I can feel the dirty looks so I will stop playing around and tackle all of the pressing Buffalo Sabres latest news.
Uh.uh..it may not have upset many of you that the NHL season is suspended with the results our beloved sabres have produced yet again this season. Maybe they can perform a lottery and the Sabres could potentially win their first Stanley Cup without actually qualifying for the playoffs.
Andrew Peters on WGR55 Radio suggested sarcastically that they should resume the season by playing PlayStation remotely against other teams. This idea could potentially result in one of the best seasons in close to a decade by the blue and gold. I hear some of those third line forwards can really dominate at video games. Personally, I would do adequate if we played Ice Hockey by Activision. Have you played Atari today?
A simple switch of the 2600 difficulty switch and I will be playing like Herb Brooks lit a fire under me.
“Great moments are born from great opportunity. And that’s what you have here, tonight, boys. That’s what you’ve earned here tonight. One game… If we played ’em ten times, they might win nine. But not this game… Not tonight. Tonight, we skate with them. Tonight, we stay with them. And we shut them down because we can! Tonight, WE are the greatest hockey team in the world. You were born to be hockey players, every one of you. And you were meant to be here tonight. This is your time. Their time is done. It’s over. I’m sick and tired of hearing about what a great hockey team the Soviets have. Screw ’em. This is your time. Now go out there and take it.”

Now that got me fired up for some hockey. Bring on Blades Of Steel. Game on.
Things we know about the Buffalo Sabres this week:
- Jack Eichel currently has found the the back of the net 36 times this season. He has put the puck on the tape of his teammates sticks who lit the lamp 42 times. That is 78 points and would certainly increase if the season is somehow completed. He had his first mini-slump that ended recently as well and still has incredible stats. He has been really good since his arrival in Buffalo. Even with the team disappointing time after time, it is safe to say that Captain Jack has arrived as a true Superstar. Now let’s just hope Jason Botterill brings in the support so we can see Eichel on prime times leading the team on some deep playoff runs.
- In addition to the Sabres, Pegula Sports and Entertainment, Rochester Knighthawks, Buffalo Bandits and the Rochester Americans all agree with their respective leagues taking action by pausing the current seasons due to the Coronavirus. Health and safety is the number one priority for all involved.
- The Associated Press has reported that a memorandum will be addressing the NHL players. They will be directed to remain at home, but be present and available in their teams hometown. Team facilities could potentially open in a few days. Don Fehr, the Executive Director of the NHLPA has been in meetings and in constant contact with league officials reviewing options on the table.
