In a conference call with members of the media, new Buccaneers running back LeSean McCoy explained why he chose Tampa over other places such as a reunion with the Eagles. His answer, not surprisingly, had a lot to do with another veteran the Bucs added in the offseason. Tom Brady.
Philly was an option that LeSean McCoy said “was another big one that I really wanted to explore”.
In the end he picked Tampa:

It is a luxury the Patriots have had for years… veteran NFL players wanting to play with Brady. Sometimes, it is a deciding factor between two teams for said-veteran. In this case, McCoy mentioned the Eagles, the team he spent his first six seasons with, expressed interest but ultimately, the opportunity to play with Brady in Tampa and chase another Super Bowl was too much to pass up.

McCoy, of course, won a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs last season in a limited role. In fact, for the past two seasons, McCoy has been less a workhouse and more a situational back. Let’s be clear, that isn’t a bad thing. McCoy will be utilized in this offense but won’t be called upon to carry the load.
“Shady” joined Brady and other Bucs teammates, including another newcomer Rob Gronkowski, on the field this week in Tampa. He, like many of his other new teammates, were reportedly in “awe” of the 43-year-old quarterback.
Tom Brady’s passes are on the money every time. Ball placement is identical for each route. It’s like he’s a machine. Atleast from a distance. pic.twitter.com/BwNPpcSVe9

LeSean McCoy on his first practice with Tom Brady: “To actually see him work, I mean he’s like a general out there, you know, leading the troops, teaching them, what he wants in routes, things like that.”#Bucs #gobucs #NFL
